I hate Wembley.

If you takeaway the arch, it's boring and pretty ugly.

God knows why it cost £800mill-£1bill.

For those of you who want to see the changes that have taken place since construction has started, here you go.

TBH they haven't asked me if they can use my pictures, but they have credited me, and I have always maintained my pictures are free to use, unless it's for advertising. ;-)

Yeah, I'm a ST holder.
I don't think it's THAT big. Sure the CB and East stands aren't already bigger?
It must be one of the largest 'ends' though, although I'd guess Sir John Hall's stand at Newcastle is bigger - wouldn't swear to it, but probably is

I'm sure I'm in a real minority, but I think the cladding / exterior looks naff - but I'll reserve final judgement until it's finished in case they pull something out of the hat.

I keep hoping the exterior cladding is 'temporary' until the Family / North stand is done, then they'll give the entire stadium an exterior makeover.

The artists impressions showed a few 'electric blue' lighting bands wrapping around the cladding (to line up with the bands of the spiral walkways (which also appeared to be lit) - but I don't think that's going to happen.

Are you impressed by anything? Not just the stadium I mean, but anything that City do or achieve? Serious question.

I am going for 47590 less 400 lost with widenings of isles add 6000 add 300 not 500 plus 90 per block at front rows x 30 - 2700.

Gives us - 53490 plus 2700 - 56190. I won't be far out with that.
Unlikely we'll actually get 56k in the ground with the segregation, but should be well over 55k. An extra 8,500 seats then. The media keep talking about 6,000. I don't think they realise about the other seats. The other seats are half the Maine Rd Platt Lane stand

Grateful to you and JRB for all the info you have given us.

My last post pretty much opposes this.

Personally think Wembley looks like a generic office block from the outside. If it wasn't for the arch it would have no personality whatsoever.
Stunning inside though. That's the most important thing
