Its gone up from circa 2800 to circa 3100, Chelsea have 3084 (it was posted earlier in the thread), so about 300 more, hardly a disaster.
Since moving to the stadium they have never fulfilled their obligation in terms of aways fans and had to write to the FA for special dispensation blaming the set up of the stadium they inherited. The FA made it clear that they must comply following the expansion so away allocation has increased but not all clubs will take up the full allocation. Minimum number of wheelchair bays will also be met

Couldn't find a thread about atmosphere/1894 group but on the OS there is a piece promoting the group and talking to Trevor Riley leader/founder of the 1894 group and the improvement of the atmosphere next season.

We’re now in single figures when it comes to how many days you have to wait to take a seat in the newly expanded Etihad Stadium for the first time. Open Training on August 12 is the first chance supporters have to enjoy the Etihad Stadium's new South Stand third tier and Trevor Riley, one of the lead members of the independent 1894 Group, can't wait.

"Next season is going to be massive, it's going to be our biggest ever - we're expanding the stadium and the atmosphere is going to improve as a result," Riley told mcfc.co.uk at this year's City Live.

"We're going to have more displays this year, we're going to have more fan flags, more tributes to players old and new - tributes to the likes of Vincent Kompany and David Silva who have served us so well over the last five years."

The 1894 Group came into existence in 2013 to, in their own words, "improve the atmosphere at home games".

This season, their bid will be aided by the addition of a singing block in 115 of the South Stand: an innovation that Trevor is relishing the prospect of.

Riley said: "The atmosphere is going to improve this season because we're going to get everyone singing in one block - in 115, we'll have everyone singing and that will spread out to the rest of the stadium.

"We hope the atmosphere is gonna be huge next season."

Make history and take your seat at the newly-expanded Etihad Stadium for Open Training on August 12.

Looks awesome and is going to get even better when the mesh and panels starts getting utilized to create even better lighting effects. Liking the green on the roof.

What happens in FA up games when the visitors get more seats. Which tier(s) would the away fans get? Bottom 2?

Is that not just a reflection of the pitch lit up by the floodlights on the underside ?

Not sure, It looks like some lighting effect but I could be wrong. Whatever it is, it looks cool. An idea, if it is indeed part of the lighting and not a reflection is to change the colours depending on the teams playing and when the North Stand is completed then each side will have different colours for the two teams

If it is a lighting effect (I personally don't think it is), then why green?

The stand is looking better. Not too keen on the segregation inside the south stand. It's unfair to say the following at this stage, but it all looks a little bit haphazard. Which is probably down to the fact that it's not yet finished!

Drove past the stadium the other day and have to say - it looks a lot more impressive than it does in the photos. you just get a much clearer idea of perspective. I wasn't too keen on the "industrial look" at first - i.e. in regards to the top of the stand's exterior, but have to say this has really grown on me.

Isn't the light just the reflection of the pitch?
