I live in Blackpool, never leave until final whistle and park 10mins from ground. Any night match I get home around 11. Just have to park in the right place to get away quick. It's a much bigger problem getting their on night matches with rush hour traffic so I usually leave about 4.There are S//C coaches that run and usually leave around 5/5.30, there a nightmare, sometimes arriving late and not getting back till gone midnight. People will always find excuses if they want but this is a semi final with cheap tickets so no excuses in my eyes.

Belle Vue TA Centre. Lots of places down that road, only 10 - 12 min walk to the ground. Free parking as well.

There are dozens and dozens of places to park if you're willing to walk 10-15minutes to and from the ground, going that far out and it's free parking too.

Think about areas like far side of Clayton, Droylsden, West Gorton, Abbey Hey...

Depends where you're going afterwards but I park, free on the street, 10-15 mins walk away behind the CFA and go up Ashton Old Road (A635), which is busy but moves along no problem, and then on to the M60 at Ashton Moss which gets you to the M62(N) or M56(S) or go on through Ashton, which is what I do as I live in Huddersfield. It only takes about 45 mins once at my car.

I parked in one of the car parks on Grey Mare Lane once. Never again.

Plus I enjoy the walk around the CFA.

Apart the £1 to the helpful young person who offers to "look after your car". Not bad value for over two hours work although strangely enough, they never seem to be there after the match.

I park on tne road near the junction. Like you say, 10-15 minute walk to and from tne ground, a few minutes on to Hyde Road, and then down Mount Road, on to the A6. A breeze most of the time.

Reminds me of parking at Maine Road in the nearby streets.
The look after your car offer was of course a threat to scratch the car if the appropriate tarrif was not paid in advance.

Bernard Manning joked about it saying that leaving your Doberman as a guard only brought a reply asking how good it was at putting out fires.

Happy days but we always paid the 50p insurance.
