if only City got so much positive press about our expansion

actually scrap that, if only the media knew we were expanding

We do, a few pages along from the Anfield article there's a feature on the Etihad Campus.

My comment is about stadium expansion
Yours is about the CFA
hence there's nothing in there about the expansion, as I said

Fenway Sports Group are effectively lending Liverpool the money in the form of an interest-free loan, bypassing the need to meet crippling bank charges...
Which is a related party transaction, not at market value. I wonder what the loan proposal which came second would have cost them?

I've never come across this publication before but to be fair it may have already featured or might be in a future edition.
There's actually another City related feature regarding the" unique and ground breaking" City App and ground WiFi further along on that site.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

I think generally, we have had good press about the CFA. The odd little criticism thrown in, but on the whole it's been very good, and it's often used as an example of the 'good' that the owners are doing.

The stadium expansion get more of a neutral or critical response I think. It's been publicised, but the press report it is a very factual manner, or slip in some comment about recent empty seats or ticket deals we've offered.

Liverpool's expansion is absolutely littered in years of controversy (who is to blame is another debate in itself), but it's now being portrayed in a very positive live.

Maybe our expansion's gotten slightly lumped in with the CFA and thus missed the chance of two different positive media hits. But it's hard to get that when the work's going on in parallel - it's inevitable that they'll get merged by much of the press.

When it's finished, we might get some good stories, and I suspect it'll look more impressive than Liverpool's (not that it really matters), but I think the visual impact will be more compelling. That's not mocking Liverpool, it's just there's only so much they can do at Anfield and it's not a stadium conducive to any sexy designs in the way the Etihad is.

I'm not idk but do reckon they will "fill in the corners" and improve the fassade when they expand colin bell and east stands. I imagine eventually the whole stadium will be same height etc. all the way round, be symmetrical and be approx 80k capacity.

HRH Mansour won't settle for second best, we will have the best stadium in the world before long (not saying biggest) and for that the east and CB stands need to be expanded, not up but certainly out as the hospitality etc. is too small. It's a wonderfully designed stadium but it isn't that spacious for hospitality, just all very well planned out to get most out of the space available.

I doubt Mansour will settle for "well planned out", we will expand the outside of these stands, similar to what is happening at the South stand now, at some point and probably fill in the corners. It wouldn't surprise me if this is already being planned out but probably fair few years, certainly after North Stand done, and possibly collar site too, before we get to hear of it.
Is there or has there ever been any drawings made of the 'final' stadium design with all four fully-expanded stands complete?

Whilst I'm not at all ungrateful for everything our fantastic owners have done for our great club I think we could me missing a chance here. There's nothing in the way of us expanding the ground such as housing, roads, railways etc and therefore we should just do it and steal a march on everybody else. Why not? If we were to do so we just have to make it the biggest and best stadium in England so we can beat our own attendance record. Come on City!

A bit hard to expand an existing stadium like ours if you aint going to knock it down.
