Great photos again jrb, I like the first one as you walk across the bridge towards the Etihad Stadium shows you how massive the development is, and also the eight photos taken inside the ground looking towards the South Stand in detail, a big well done jrb for all the effort in getting these photos out to us who are overseas........cheers mate.............

Well done jrb - superb photos.
I think the club should give jrb a life long membership - for all the "promoting" he is doing on behalf of the fans.

It would be interesting to know - jrb - how many pics. you have taken.

great pictures, coming on nicely.

I assume that the seating in South Stand tier 3 will be as per the concrete area which is now in place?

tiers 1 and 2 are complete, i.e. the Stand seating joins straight into the East Stand and Colin Bell stand, what are they doing with 'the gaps' for tier 3? big screens?
The south stand 3rd tier still has more concrete rows to go in at the front of jrb picture, this can only be done when the temporary roof supports are removed.
I would estimate another 6 rows of seats

Just looked at the video for the South Stand expansion and it is now making sense to me - with all the main components falling into place.
Looked on main official site - under stadium expansion.
Don't know if this link will work - but hey ho!.

Edit: it obviously did not work.- Doh!.

I remember going to Maine Rd through shitty turnstyles, using piss drenched toilets, eating horse meat burgers and then watching us get beat.

Fucking hell.
We'll be the biggest club in the world before I die too, just for good measure.

*giggles like a madman*

Thank's once again. My pleasure.

What with the proposed North Stand and leisure destination/Etihad Campus around the stadium, I won't be finished anytime soon.

It's been roughly 3 years, 100's of pictures, and counting. :-)

A couple more I forgot to add. Nothing exciting.

Think you have a good few years of work ahead of you, but it looks like you might get a few months off as it doesn't look like much will be happening after the stand is finished until early next year at the earliest.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

Surely you must be in your 1000's by now JRB? ;)

Anyway, out of interest, how much bigger will the third tier be compared to the first tier? I know they're meant to be have 6,000 seats each, but does that include the corners for SS1?

How many rows back will the third tier go at the center? And what will that reduce to at the edges due to the stand curvature?

I think SS1 has roughly 26 rows for comparison.

Nice work JRB - cheers for posting them.

We'll all be expecting pictures of the new electricity sub-station over the summer, no rest for the wicked ;)

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

Looks good. The extra 3 rows at the front are going to change the whole dynamic of the stadium. Really significant I think. I remember complaining to the atchitects ten years ago that the front row was too far from the pitch. This wil make it feel much more like a football stadium.

Enjoyed Saturday immensely!
