He could fill his boots with pictures of the swamp today.
I noticed that, wonder if the MUEN will mention it.

No, neither do I.

Will it be ready for August 8th or will we need to request that we are away first game to get it finished in time?

The club asked for the first fixture to be away from home next season nearly a year ago.

Thus we will not have a home game until the weekend of August 15th\16th 2015 or maybe even the Monday night of the 17th depending on TV of course (unless we have to pre- qualify for the Champions League, another reason the club will want to finish at least 3rd.)

Have to say; I was confused by that big yellow thing in the sky. Being Manchester born and bred, and now living in the West of Ireland, I'm more used to grey skies and rain coming down horizontally!

This is not correct.

The game might well be away, first day of the season, but City have stated they have made no requests to the relevant bodies with regards purposely shifting any opener from the Etihad.

There was a rumour the other month that we might need to play the first three away which is why City were asked about this.

The stadium has a Beijing 's birds nest feel, an exoskeleton-like appearance making it rather unique in England.

You mean the scaffolding look that OT2 has?

What do you mean exactly by OT2?

Think corky is referring to the fact that old Trafford opened as a cricket ground 53 years before the swamp

This is spot on, the expansion needs to be finished before the Rugby World Cup as we're hoasting a game. So it'd need finishing long before the season starts again.

Hope it's done for the rugby World Cup. It's England v Uruguay on October 10th!

I had an incline and kinda knew that he was referring to old Trafford but I wanted confirmation and clarity because I do not understand the relevance of OT2 to my point, which is that our stadium has an exoskeleton-like appearance, that is, there are deliberate architectural structures externally that support parts of the stadium e.g the roof and this appearance is part of the charm and uniqueness. I was making a structural observation about the stadium and my expectation was that people will either agree with me or not and I don't think old trafford or any other stadium in England have that construction style that the Etihad has.

When the new stands are completed, this unique feature will be compounded with more external support and poles, which will also add to the charm of the stadium.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

Will the new stand need to host a few events prior to the season starting in order to get its fire certificate or is it not the case because it it's only an extension.

Place North West.

ADUG?

Christie + Co, the agent representing Britannia Hotels on the sale of London Road Fire Station in Manchester, is fielding interest from across Europe, America and the Middle East, with 'everything still to play for' in terms of finding a buyer. - See more at: http://www.placenorthwest.co.uk/new...n-road-fire-station.html#sthash.elzujnCX.dpuf

PS. Next full update at the end of next week. Hopefully the weather will improve by then.

Wouldn't that be fantastic if the Sheikh bought the former fire station? The proposed redevelopment has been a disaster and if anyone can do it, The Sheikh can!

Brittania's 30 year 're development'? That bunch need driving out of Manchester asap. Whoever's shopping around for the fire station can perhaps take the rest of that company's hotels off them too.

I would be very surprised if it wasn't finished before the fixtures starts, going by the amount off work that's been carried out already, its surprising how quickly the rest of the internal will work will progress,But besides that the club & contractor would of had a date for the finish product
Including penalty payments,if they fail the time-scale that it was agreed on...

If there is anything ADUG could do to expedite the process I think they would do. I would love to see it turned into a stellar 5* Hotel.
It has the look of the St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel about it, and that is excellent. I would think IHG would have their eyes firmly on it as the venue for their long awaited Manchester Intercontinental.
