I don't understand why anyone will have anxieties about empty seats because some of their so called raggy mates on twitter spend more time concerned with spotting empty seats in our ground than they do with noticing empty spaces in their clubs defence.

Big clubs such as Barcelona/Juventus have shitloads of empty seats at their home games, but will sell out for big games.
This is the direction we will be going in. Build the seats, reasonably price them and people will come.

Sure we'll have plenty of empty seats when we play in early round League Cup fixtures, but that's just the way it is.

It isn't a coincidence why City are specifically targetting the young demographic fanbase.

I cant see it Steve - think we got 54,300 v Chelsea - add 300 or so seats that are still frustratingly still not in around the Service Tunnel and maybe an extra 300 corporate seats not sold and I still don't think we will hit 55k. Just don't think it quite holds it - will be interesting to see how many we get vs the Rags.

Any idea when those seats by the Service Tunnel will be available? They're not showing on the planner for Newcastle or Bournemouth.

Fanchester, the empties in cb are roughly similar to east stand except for juve there were more missing in the UEFA family seats in east stand than in director's box and corporate area in cb.
Noticed that the worst areas for Watford and West Ham were 93:20 and joes on both sides.
They will have problems selling these at the moment for the less glamorous games.

For the op the myth of empty seats is more to do with the fact that the away end was visible behind the goal which might not always be full, same for family stand in midweek games. Seats at the swamp match the shirt colour better than it does at the cathedral of footballing excellence and their empties tend to be at the back of the stand which is not very well lit for TV.

Their seats are also crammed in at the swamp, so it's more like a chicken farm, or a sheep pen, hence it's more difficult to spot the empty spaces, due to the the close proximity of various sheep/chickens obscuring them.

Looks a great stadium and going down the same route as city with its not just about the stadium it's about new housing a sports hub

Its interesting that they seem to have designed the stadium with the 'bigger than Arsenal' mindset.

I'm forever told that there are about 50k on Spurs' waiting list so you would think that, like Sheikh Mansour has for City, there was a plan to be much bigger than 61k wouldnt you?

50K on a waiting list - yet they still can't muster 20,000 fans for the Europa league!

The only benefit to them is that they're in London - they could build an 80,000 seater and fill it for most league games if they targeted the tourist and corporate markets more efficiently.

I think that the attendance record for The Etihad- will be set at the game on 10th Oct.? - as there is probably no seats lost to segregation.
Rugby Union World Cup. vs. Uruguay
Maybe 54,904. which is just short of 55,000............that is - if the Etihad is capable of 55,000-?.
