Only if it's in City blue.Pictures don’t do it justice as to how big it is. I think when it’s lit up at night it will look incredible.
I was in town today and it was rammed with young people from across the globe. Tourists, students, and lots of families on half-term. The city-centre was as busy as it used to be on Saturday afternoons in the 70s. It has been totally transformed.
The other problem is that most of the media are too young to remember the era of Bobby Charlton so their knowledge is gleaned from a sepia-tinted version of the past which bears no grip on reality. In Charlton's later years United were on a severe decline ending in their relegation in 1974. The idea that Charlton, no doubt an iconic figure, is England's greatest player is just rubbish. His figures don't really stack up. At the age of 23 Phil Foden has already won twice as many major trophies (12) as Charlton (5 for United and one WC). Not saying Charlton wasn't a good player but never a great in my view.Exactly. The MSM is living in the past with so many London based unaware of what is happening, not least the seismic appeal shift to Manchester and Manchester City with the falling away of support for the rags, red dippers and the like.
I'm more than happy with the co op but would have loved the sphere. Imagine watching Attenborough docs in there off your nut
We’re all too aware of how many ‘young professionals’ from Surrey are moving here.Impressive. This is Manchester not Las Vegas nor London yet has attracted such a major investment in a "provincial city".
People in Manchester underestimate how attractive the place it has become. Especially to the young including from London and overseas who want to experience accessible city centre living.
Manchester is now THE northern hub city and place to be and experience even for the affluent South East. I now live in Surrey and so many kids are keen to move to experience Manchester. Think how many are already City fans. Support for Manchester and City is exploding.
Investors in the collar site have done their homework.
Calling people from outside "gentrifiers" is unfair. We’re all too aware of how many ‘young professionals’ from Surrey are moving here.
We have to try to buy, rent property etc amid competition from the gentrifiers who are pricing out people born and bred here
It’s far from a good thing
