Looks like they've gone ahead with the AO/MEN arena changes then? Not sure how they compare to what they originally planned, but they seem to be making a big deal out of it

The lady in the photo is the GM of the arena.
She walked out on me in an interview when I told her the it wasn’t possible to deliver the project by March , 2023 !!

Athletics, squash, tennis and isn't there an indoor BMX centre still there?
None of them are commercial none of them have anything to do with us and does the athletics track ever get used ? Do the other even get used much ?

Chris Bray, European president of ASM Global, told Place North West that the AO Arena is “really well-prepared” to thrive in spite of Co-op Live.

Bray, who joined ASM after the two-arena saga had died down, has a different view of how the new venue will impact the existing one.

“There is more than enough content for two arenas here in the city,” he said. “Competition is good, it raises our game.

“Manchester is a powerhouse. It is the music capital of the world. I moved here two years ago and I have seen nothing but growth.”
