Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Once the boxes are sold to blue chip firms, wouldn't surprise me if the cost of the build is recouped in the first year.

I know Barclays pay millions a year for their boxes at the 02.

That's before you have lounges and restaurants sponsored.

In saying that, when it comes to boxing and NBA, etc, we will be pitching some pretty big site fees, which will obviously impact the bottom line.

I do hope the restaurants and bars will be open on match days, as the site really needs it.

Would love to take my family to a City game, then have tickets for the evening to watch a concert or NBA game.
I reckon they will definitely open food and drink outlets on match days. It would be crazy not to. It could be like a Box Park set-up. I am sure facilities will also develop along the canal on boats etc. That has happened near West Ham's ground now. It will be great.

I don't know the mechanics of such things, but we clearly have some very smart people in charge?

SilverLake pay CFG £475m for a 10 per cent stake.

CFG co-own with MCC the leisure site.

They in turn team up with Oak View Group, who initially state they are funding the entire £350m cost of the build and CFG are merely assisting with feasibility and consents.

CFG suddenly announce 50 per cent buy in on the arena.

We've probably paid out about £150m of the SilverLake money to get 50 per cent dibs of a venue that will print money for decades to come.

And guess who Silver Lake are also invested in - Oak View Group - https://variety.com/2018/biz/news/i...llion-investment-from-silver-lake-1202724408/

SilverLake clearly don't want to miss out on the spoils.

All good but the circle is bigger than that.
Mubadala now own a tiny share of Silver Lake

They will have to be conscious that two different types of fan will be on the campus at any one time?

Football fans and followers of Taylor Swift fighting for tables won't be a good look.

Interestingly, it appears Oak View Group also have their own concert security group, which means ShowSec won't be anywhere near.

Now that's smart - we'll be accused of paying ourselves again!

Ground developments are outside ffp. More to the point, what benefit does City get from all this? CFG is the player, not MCFC.
Who owns the land, eg Arena site?

I believe the total investment in the project comes to approaching 300m I’d be surprised if young Harry was stumping up 10per cent of that. Thats a lot of watermelon and sugar. I think he’s probably in for something more like 5 percent and happy to do a lot of good pr in lieu of some investments cash. Even so a very good investment and clearly the boy knows this, so credit to him.

I really don’t think my numbers will be too far out. As tolm says a new cash tap being turned on in around 2 years time!
Ffs. We need a protest. Should be 51% fan owned ;)

Well if Harry has a couple of percent maybe it’s part fan owned? Hopefully it’s not true that he a scum fan tho! Actually even funnier if he is lol. Like the petrol joke, fill up lads we need a new striker....buy gig tickets we need a left back... etc

QPR away late Saturday kick off a few years back (won 3-2 I think including a David worldie)
Hilarious tube journey with the carriages split between City/Hoops fans and old ladies/pissed up hen parties heading to the BBC to watch Strictly Come Dancing
