It's all very exciting this.

City don't own the stadium. City have a 250 year lease on the stadium. City prefer to lease it for £4mill a year.(think that's correct?) City can buy the stadium if they want to buy it. There won't be no new stadium or demolition of parts of the Etihad bar expanding the North Stand. The North Stand will be expanded taking the capacity to 60k+ and that will probably be it. City might do something with the exterior of the stadium, but I don't think that's a priority atm, if at all?

Sorry to drag up a really old post jrb, but do you know how much City can buy the stadium for?

This is interesting looks like the former old super casino site has been developed as well, with cinema bars, offices apartments like Spinnigfields

Liking the new city square idea but I would remove the hotel of the side and move it closer to COOP Live. By doing this you could make the new city square larger and fit more in with walk through tunnels to access the other stands. Pictures at the moment would create a bottle neck at the trams

Appreciate the CGI’s aren’t that great, and future ones will have much more detail.

2nd minor complaint after the blank wall. Sorry City. I do love the overall proposal like everyone else.

The hotel worries me, even though the CGI doesn’t show much.

It reminds me of a Premier Inn. Flat roof, loads of windows close together, pretty boring and bog standard.






Hopefully I’m wrong, but it doesn’t look promising? I was expecting something top notch design wise.
