Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

I bet we can incorporate some off-site corporate at the new arena like the rags do at the cricket ground
I would imagine that is the plan. People saying there is no room for more corporate when the club were sold out of packages for games at the end of the season for a meal at the Academy / Vermillion / Goucho and a ticket anywhere in the ground for £500 a pop.

Much easier if they can be accommodated in suites at the Arena

Apologies if already mentioned..... (enter Titanic pics as appropriate)

The gas tanks off Bradford Road are coming down...... apartments on one of them and the other to do with the new arena being built.
Gas towers as 'heritage'. Along with the overflowing dustbin and 2 professional beggars next to it on match day.

The only time all corporate areas are fully sold out and filled are for the big games. Most of the time you can see swathes of empty seats in the corporate areas, especially for the lesser games or mid-week games. I’ve been into certain corporate areas over the years and there have been plenty of empty seats. The club run discounted packages and seats in corporate areas on a match by match basis to try and fill the corporate areas. Check the City ticket site next season.

Why do you constantly post there is a need for more corporate areas?

It isn’t. Neither was it great turfing people out of the NS to create a family stand. Pricing fans out of L2 to create corporate areas and padded seats. Etc. Unfortunately there will always be people and City fans who have been and will be moved by the club to accommodate new areas inside the ground.
FWIW, I was affected by both the North Stand / Family Stand and East Stand Level 2 changes. I wouldn’t want any corporate seats (in an ideal world) but there will be corporate seats and they will offset value golds etc. The Club won’t accept decreasing match day revenue so there’s a balancing act.

Yes corporate seats aren’t often full, just like it was the case for most parts of the ground for non “big games”.This is not aimed at you mate but a few posters have claimed the atmosphere will be affected by corporatising 202 to 204. There isn’t any atmosphere to affect in those blocks, although I disagree with lots of top Blues being pushed out if their seats.

I’m not in the North Stand but I’ve been encouraged how Blues in there have got behind the team in some crunch games this season. It would be a mistake to turf them out for a single tier panacea for atmosphere that safe standing was supposed to address

Thanks for all your good work on this thread and the atmosphere in this ground. I agree with most of what you post. It’s just this issue of a single tier standing and kicking out Blues they I disagree with. Two or three wrongs don’t make a right.

Our match day income is a long way behind our rivals, that’s where the money is unless you’d prefer a 50% increase on season card prices ?

We'll never catch United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs up on match day revenues. Our fan base is completely different. We might get closer, that's about it. I'd rather see a 50% increase in City fans that have given up going and have been priced out over the last x amount of years.

Exactly how many corporate areas do we need at the Etihad before we max out on corporate areas or supply out strips demand, which has already happened.

I feel like I'm replying to Ferran Soriano on a daily basis on this thread.
