The mitchell pub....gonna be a pub again.
Be great if it is but every time I go past it looks like more and more of it is falling down lol wonder in the bank of England pub will open up the road aswell

I fully accept the club and Soriano want more corporate seats and corporate spectators. They want to squeeze as much out of them as possible, even at the expense of normal match going fans who will buy a season ticket and a few pints.

City haven’t got the global fan base or fan base wealth that our main rivals have. Yes, our support has grown in the UK and around the World over the last decade, but we’ve still got a predominantly local fan base for PL matches. The CL is a different matter. All you need to do is listen to the Mancunian accents of a PL matchday. That isn’t the case at United or Liverpool where the majority of accents are foreign, not Mancunian or Scouse.

I’d wager with anyone, even the bods at City, that an extra 10,000 City fans in an expanded NS will bring in more revenue than a new or expanded corporate area/s.

Maybe the time isn’t right yet, even though Platinum, Gold, and Silver season tickets have sold out, but City need to start concentrating more on our local support and getting those missing and new fans into the ground.

Corporate won’t make any difference to a planned North Stand expansion. The revenue from corporate alone makes up a small fraction of City’s total revenue.

As for the Ardwick, etc. City make more money in alcohol sales on the L1 concourses.

420 Tunnel club season tickets would bring in as much as 10000 level 2 tickets and SS3 get cheaper as you get further from the pitch.

I get that they won't visit the shop but City make more from the summer concerts at the bar than during the season. The guy who ran the catering said they made 20% more than the whole season at the Take That concerts a few years back and I doubt Liam Gallagher or Ed Sheeran fans were tea total this year.

If they want to make money reduce the number of season tickets and charge standard matchday prices like the dippers. Let the non-renewers seats be available on a match by match basis, that'll double the income from the seat.

Make the non family, family stand people move into the general population, that'll be another chunk of cash and manage the stand for the younger fans to attend.

They can make more money if they want to, Corporate might be a lesser evil

Apologies if already mentioned..... (enter Titanic pics as appropriate)

The gas tanks off Bradford Road are coming down...... apartments on one of them and the other to do with the new arena being built.

I smiled at the thought of a resident being nostalgic for the loss of a gasholder - they are an eyesore but I guess we get used to them and they become part of us.

Just an idea. Relocate the family stand to the corners of L1, or better, to the bottom corners of an expanded level 2. I’m sure the kids would love the view from the bottom of L2, as well as joining in with the singing, noise, and atmosphere coming up from L1.

I’m just banding about ideas like most of us have done and are still doing. I’m sure City already know what they are going to do with the North Stand, including the Family Stand. We’ll probably find out in a few years time.
Sounds like a good idea relocating people to L2 and maybe the L1 corners.

Yes, I was thinking about the corners myself once they've filled them in. They won't need as many seats as they have delegated now by the sounds of it although they're going to have to enforce the fact that it's the family area somehow.

The problem is that a lot of the Family Stand isn’t really really a family stand.

I have been in 232 since 2013-14, and was allocated the seat without any question being asked about family links. I have renewed every year since (when possible) and have never been questioned. There are very few children in the seats around me.
