Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

It was a UEFA Cup game ( not the intertoto cup which was a meaningless trophy, bit like the Watney Cup etc).
The Inter-Toto cup was not a lot in itself. There would be three ‘winners’ but it did offer a qualification route to the UEFA Cup.

The problem was that it started pretty well as soon as the previous season ended. This was to provide something for the Toto people to bet on. That made bad news for any teams from Scotland - barely even into pre-season training - who would likely draw teams from countries such a Sweden who would be in the middle of their season.

It was merged with the UEFA Cup many years back without much change. The Europa League and the Europa Conference still starts very early and still benefit Northern teams (Including those from the Republic of Ireland) who play the summer season.

Updated pictures of the nearly finished new bar area in South Stand Level 1.

Note the new City Square stage and full length curved digital screen.

Which block is this at?

Just received this off the club:

Manchester City has unveiled a redesigned concourse area in the South Stand of the Etihad Stadium as part of its ongoing commitment to enhance the matchday experience.

The Club has carried out extensive works over the summer period including a complete redesign of the concourse area at Gate M, to create multiple spaces for fans in South Stand Level 1 and Colin Bell Stand Level 1 (Blocks 114-125) to meet, eat and drink prior to kick-off.

The new concourse area has varied seating and standing areas, multiple screens for the best views of the matchday entertainment on offer, and a DJ booth which will play out music and set lists selected by fans.

In addition to creating new entertainment experiences, the new concourse area has upgraded food and beverage stalls which will enable quicker speed of service prior to the match and at half-time. Fans will also have the option of using new self-service vending machines to purchase chocolate and snacks.

The new concourse areas will remain open after full-time for those who wish to extend their matchday experience at the Etihad Stadium.

We look forward to welcoming you back for the first home match of the new season tomorrow.
