Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Yeah all of that would have to be sorted obviously, it would be some sort of staggered approach like at the Spurs stadium.. with the side stands sticking out more than the goal side monolithic stand.

Would certainly make a hell of a difference! The exterior of the stadium needs some serious tlc as well?

Yeah presumably so.. I guess they will do some form of wraparound that has become so popular over the last couple of decades in new builds and even in old ones like the New Mestalla for instance. Maybe they could just do a small touch up though if they plan to keep the old style hanging roof. This all purely speculation though.

Edit: Im sorry if Ive stolen someone's photos over the years lol.

Talking of wrap around, the roof a west ham seems like a polythene tent, when you go inside you are still outside and a big gap between the concourse roof and the stadium.

Here it is, City-style. I'm on the fence..

That's the dream, is it not?

Khaldoon and Soriano would have to reduce ticket prices across other parts of the stadium to fill the vacated seats. City can't fill an expanded NS with expensive season tickets and match day tickets, as well as filling the other vacated parts of the ground with expensive season tickets and match day tickets. We haven't got the fan base to do that. The fact that City are 'still' expanding the corporate and hospitality areas suggests City aren't trying to lure the bread and butter fans back who have either been priced out or have decided to call it a day for whatever reason. And there's absolutely no sign of any change in City's season ticket or match day tickets prices to suggest the club is trying to get those missing fans back. Reducing the capacity of the Etihad to install larger pitch side digital advertising boards is another example of that policy.

Spot on, I'm just hoping there's a way of solving the problem though....im convinced there are so many blues that are staying away on a regular basis and only attending the big games, and some not even doing that

There are very few things to criticise our owners for. But the attitude to our very working class fans is one.
I just dont think they are overly bothered and time has proved that.
My 7 year old is asking for a season ticket and its going to be a HUGE decision for me.

make the season tickets cheap enough and its a literal no brainer. As it stands its probably unlikely

It’s sad but the Club must think or know there is more demand for corporate tickets. In addition, the middle of South Stand Level 1 was like the Marie Celeste at times. The 2 nil defeat at Wolves a few years ago comes to mind. South Stand Level 1 looks packed out this season and the atmosphere seems to have improved a bit, along with the introduction of safe standing.

I hope the North Stand expansion / rebuild happens soon with an increase in safe standing / rail seats. More capacity is needed to build a bigger singing area. If that’s a single tier stand then it needs to have loads of cheaper seats for Blues who turn up every week (or list tickets for resale). We can’t repeat South Stand L3 with loads of bkues oucking and choosing their games if we want a big improvement in the atmosphere.

Games are selling out now even though everyone can’t / won’t be at the match. That’s without thousands of deferred season card holders who might or might not return. Piecemeal solutions won’t change much.

Those dead trees in large wooden planters in the middle of the road need getting rid of or replacing.
