That too. If the tram-train solution does go ahead then it makes sense to wait for that and then offer to pay for a stop nearer to the stadium. West of the Blue Car Park looks a good site to me

It’s difficult to envisage how the roof will look when the stadium is finished.
You tend to look at how the N & S stands will blend in to the E & W.
However, once the S is complete the new roof would be designed around the N & S stands. So probably much higher than it is now. Maybe glazing at the back above the seats like a stand at WHL

I think the gas holder next to The Oval has planning for residential, so this could work here I reckon.

The corners are temporary so you'd imagine it would go back to being more of a bowl just on a much vaster footprint and therefore a much higher roofline for the side stands. It will be a monster, and it will look epic.

Yeah the current planning permission for the south stand and north stand confirms they've future-proofed expansion so that they wouldn't have to go back and change proposals. The corners are temporary and would be replaced/engrained into any side stand expansion. You'd imagine it would have to come back miles with the restriction on steepness of the seats/tiers and swallow the spirals.

It would be a huge missed opportunity if they don’t redevelop the gas towers. Fingers crossed they do something similar to the photos that have been posted.

I agree but that would be something a property developer would need to do, doubt it's something the club would be involved in.

Unless they want to be involved with a hotel development. That may interest them on an investment level.
