Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

A car park next to a ground sounds familiar

The Gulch looks about the same size as Collar Yard

The entertainment district is what what City have talked about

I live in Atlanta, and have been to that stadium multiple times - it’s a nightmare to get in. Can be an hour to travel the last mile, and that’s after navigating some of the worst traffic in America to get to the city.
Public transport (like most US cities except NYC) is also dreadful.
Grounds in the city are not good

This is not Etihad related but it is Manchester related. It is a video about buildings past and present behind where Kendals is and where I think George Best and Mike Summerbee's Edwardia 'boutique' might have been. The video is interesting as it has photos of modern Manchester alongside pictures from the distant past including the River Irwell from the 1800s.

The boutique is now Crazy Pedro's

Off topic.

But maybe City and MCC are proposing something employment related for the Collar site?

Madrid Innovation District. Located next to the Real Madrid’s training ground and mini stadium. (the link works)

Very similar to the CFG.

Real Madrid and the Community of Madrid have signed a collaboration protocol for the creation of Madrid Innovation District (MID), a new technological space that will be located on land in Real Madrid City, where companies, institutions, athletes, entrepreneurs and citizens will coexist. 85 of its 120 hectares will be dedicated to promoting innovation, knowledge, the development of new technologies and attracting talent.

According to the report prepared by the consulting firm PWC, the MID will contribute around €1.2 billion annually to the regional GDP and create more than 23,000 jobs per year. The MID's construction will entail €1.3 billion in investment and more than 4,700 jobs.
