This thread seems to have come to the conclusion that

1) The academy site will be built and finished including our landmark bridge.

2) In the interim while work progressing plans have either been drawn up or being drawn up regarding expansion of stadium

3) That the enlargement of stadium must at some stage include the leisure facilities or hotels casinos or sucj like on the collar site.

4) To enable the leisure side to be sucessful we will need outside partners who may or may not have been identiied such as Marriot Hotels etc

5) That the timing for such work will be delicate given the shortness of the close season but everything is possible.

6) To enable our season tickets to remain affordable the expansion should incorporate a large expansion of corporate facilities thereby increasin revenue streams on a par with our competitors.

Have I missed something?

Re. point 2.
I was at an EC meeting at the Etihad over 2 years ago when Danny Wilson assured us that feasability studies, architectural schemes/montages, structural designs etc. were already in place and the only thing holding the expansion back was that the owner would not go ahead before we filled out the stadium in it's present form week in week out for ALL first team league & cup games. In short, until demand outstripped supply.

Mind you he also said the tram link would definately be up and running from town to Asda by Christmas 2010??

You can only see this being the reason, the handbrake on everything

Their the seats that are always empty though? on match days its always the big blue chairs about the dugout that are empty?
When I started reading that I thought you meant at the Emirates, then I read blue chairs and wondered if you mean at the Etihad?

I would imagine 'premium' seats would be level 2, especially along the main stands. Surely there is more than enough interest in 'corporate' type seating these days?

yeah was meant to say above the dug out at our place the borad room seats and such.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Just had my invite through from City for the opening of The Connell Suite. Looked pretty good a few weeks ago when I was there for a meeting and it was only half finished at that point. Will feedback on here after and let you know how things look.
