Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Awesome plans for the club. The Sheikhs are defo ony in it for the short term exposure ;)

Might be a daft question but how does such spending (200m) fit in with FFP?

It has nothing to do with it. FFP is for transfers.

The site remediation was financed by the public sector. This could be included in the total project cost but would not be paid by City.

This issue is if the costs quoted are purely for the BAM contract or include land acquisition, architects fees, etc. In addition there will be equipment, fittings and furnture that will probably be provided u nder a differnt contract.

The remediation works for the acadamy were paid for by the club, the collar site was paid for by th JDB.

The BAM contract is worth around 60m. The overall cost for the whole project is around 100m.

One more partner to be announced as well......

Overall cost of the academy? The Beswick (Nectar?) and the academy? Or both those and the collar site?

Partner - as in sub contractor or the fabled leisure operator (or even the large sponser which has been rumoured for some time...)?

Cheers GX.

Fabled leisure operator.....Walt Disney?.....perhaps why Tom Glicks is at the club. I'm sure it will be clear as mud over the coming weeks!!

Sorry boys, nothing that exciting! It will be a partner to the JDB and whilst it may not be a significant sponsor will certainly help towards FFP.

Read the OS and one thing it mentions that they are aiming for but BAM are incapable of providing.....I will leave it at that for now.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Maybe the likeness to the christian fish symbol did for the bridge design?

Can't believe they'll be going with the one on the recent release, but only time, or a friendly ITK will tell...

Grants for remediation have been received from the Homes & Communities Agency, which contributed £2.74m, Manchester City Council, £1.37m, European Regional Development Fund, £3.59m, and North West Development Agency, £450,000.

WUM or I am involved.......spill the beans on BM or get sacked.......what would you do? I give you as much as I am able without getting myself in shit. I am a so proud of my job and being involved, and would never jeopardise my position, but some of the shit I have read on here was doing my head in so I thought I would try and put peoples mind at rest. If it isn't appreciated I won't bother. Probably for the best to be honest.

Back to posting on the football then and stick to PM's to the few I have sent them to.

Nectar is the project name for phase 1. i.e. the academy and joint services development.

Its a partner for the Etihad Campus in its entirety. Not just phase 1. It will be basically an open ended contract for the whole campus, however big it grows

I think JOGAMIGMOG's tongue was firmly in his cheek when he posted that. Your updates are very much appreciated, at the very least from me.
