I noticed that the "builders" are the same firm who put up the new Co-op HQ. Don't like the design of that building, but they have delivered it on time. It's almost complete and a very demanding design so the builders are very competent

And when I look at the photos in this thread I am struck by the scale of the place and the amount of work already done, yet when you walk through their, to and from the game, the visitor is totally unaware of the work going on. It doesn't have the appearance of a vast construction site. Must be all hidden away behind hoardings at eye level

I hadnt realised it was the same people who are doing the new Co-op building. We'll have to disagree about the Co-op building, I think it's fantastic.
Second that, gives the Civil Justice Centre a run for its money.

Indeed, although the CJC, for me, is the superior building...best building in Manchester for decades.

CJC:

This is a computer generated version of the Co Op HQ - not quite convinced (yet) about the built version:

If it isn't appreciated I won't bother. Probably for the best to be honest.

Back to posting on the football then and stick to PM's to the few I have sent them to.

I think JOGAMIGMOG's tongue was firmly in his cheek when he posted that. Your updates are very much appreciated, at the very least from me.

I'll second the bit about the appreciation... Not sure whether the tongue was in cheek though.

Ignore the minority please GX.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Slightly off topic.

No1 Angle Square is a amazing building and addition to the city centre.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Most modern architecture in Manchester is abysmal esp those cheapo bland yuppie flats but the law courts and the new CO-OP HQ are fantastic.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Does the new academy use all the land we have purchased? If not, are there plans for leisure facilities such as a hotel, restaurant etc?

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Here's an interesting one. PM'd to me on SSC.

Juventus: Their new stadium and wasteland next to it. Scandal?

Thank you.
I'm interested because I am following the story of the sale (scandal story) of the stadium delle-alpi to juventus.
My videos: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list..._UUpaZV4s7ZktQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list..._UUpaZV4s7ZktQ</a>

If there is a whiff of a scandal, I'm 100% sure Platini and UEFA will look into it and take appropriate action against Juve. ;-)

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

How can I tell your man that City will eventually pay £720mill for the stadium(ah!) and Johnny Ball, think of a number, for the Aniline site and land around the stadium.

Guessing, there won't be much changed left from a £1 billion for the stadium and surrounding land.

Something isn't quite right.
