- New roof on the south stand which will recycle parts of the current one.

- New exterior. Will look like a completely new stand from outside.

- Stadium will eventually evolve so that all the exterior looks like the 'new' south stand.

- Current South Stand top tier will become the middle tier (obviously). This middle tier will be the same as the middle tier of the Colin Bell and East Stand in terms of comfy seats and pricing.

- long term plan to develop Colin Bell and East Stand inline with the new North and South Stands.

- East Stand development will link into the Casino site.

- All the spirals will be reduced to rubble

- Escalators and lifts on all four sides of the ground

- There won't be a fourth tier on the Colin Bell and East Stand. The existing third tier will be demolished and a new ultra massive third tier will be put in its place.

- Aim is to break OUR all time attendance record for a game held outside Wembley in England.

This is all going into the 2020s here....

*That's more like it :)

There's parts of Barcelona which have escalators outdoors to save you walking the steep hills.
Those and Mini-Disc players are the future man...

No way, they’ll get the floor waxed and turn them into helter skelters. (Free use of a mat for Platinum members). This could be their suggested alternative to the water ride behind the South Stand. Watch out for the next survey. “Would you prefer to exit the stadium dry, or wet*”

*Please note this question does not apply to those customers sat in the first 15 rows of the East Stand L1 who will already be wet when they exit the stadium.

They’ll slip this one in just after the “who is your favourite team” question to catch us all off guard, with no choice of 1) Water Ride or 2) Helter-Skelter.

Surveys are worded to obtain a desired outcome. We should stand firm. Give us free text boxes on surveys. And a water ride.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Escalators instead of spirals? The half time fag is going to be a bit tricky.

it's an option.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

From an engineering point, is it technically possible to have spiral escalators?
I suspect that would be more of a funicular black magic thing however...

..although, here we go:

I've been in this shopping centre in San Francisco...can't remember these escalators though:

I've hit the nail on the head right GX et al?

Can you imagine a few thousand pissed-up blues trying to make their way up or down one of those????????

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

^^ That would be one of the attractions :)

On a side note...somebody wrote into the MEN letters page t'other day and (in passing) mentioned a host of large name stores (paraphrasing a little) were lining up for the developments at the Campus/Collar site...might be conjecture, might be a morsel to chew on for a while...

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

This pic, tweeted by City, shows the East Stand corporate seats have all been taken out.
