Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

...on a slightly different note, after they'd shown the highlights of the match on BBC local news this morning, there was a mention of the new training academy/campus - I only half caught it from the corner of my eye whilst swigging the remnants of a cold, instant coffee, so not sure what or why this has been mentioned today. Are there any planning meetings re this today?

Oh. It was this:

http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereve...ster-citys-100m-training-complex-agrees-deal-

Last man standing in the way of Manchester City's £100m training complex agrees deal.

The last man standing in the way of Manchester City's £100m training complex has backed down.

Liaqat Ali was the final person refusing to sell his plot of land on a site earmarked by the Blues for the complex....
They sent Roberto round to "reason" with him! Seriously, good news and what a perfect day all round. Get the bulldozers in and let the march to world domination commence.

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

So after all the 'unite against City' stuff, he's rolled over anyway?

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Didn't Tolmie (along with a couple of others) mention recently that our owner/s are about to show the world our grand intentions (although in all fairness, I think much of that was achieved last night)?
It would be impecible timing if City were to do 'you know what' at the end of the season, then 'you know what' was announced the following day. :)

how informative, I was really unsure about what City were going to do until you said that, cleared it all up for me.

funny name for a project, "you know what", though.

We used to call it a 'chu chu' or 'tuppence' when we were kids. I can it an 'organic flange' these days. On the rare days I get to see one mind.

We should go after the new Guggenheim that Helsinki just rejected...

Wonder why it was rejected...
There is one going up in Abu Dhabi too...not sure if that would have any bearing on one being built here. Would be nice though, that alongside something 'theme parkesque'.
