I LIKE THIS!!!! it has the maine road feel to it with the non ajoining stands and the low walls surrounding it, i can imagine on derby day or champs league nights the atmosphere pouring out of the stadium

Because the final cost will end up around £170m despite being a £50m contract if my local builder is anything to go by..
I think it may be as simple that the contract is not for the entire site. There are other things mooted including leisure, entertainment and a new school/sixth form?

And what about costs to make the site ready?, we have been looking at muddy holes for a time now which ain´t cheap I guess.

I would like to think they are more professional that your local builder :)

That St George's Park doesn't look that far removed from what's going on here.

That construction enquirer story lists the cost at around £50 million, where as the latest figures banded around were £170 million...god knows how or why these figures are being so wildy fluctuated.

Because the final cost will end up around £170m despite being a £50m contract if my local builder is anything to go by..

Jesus...how much have you spent on your kitchen extension? I'm struggling to find funds for a bit of extra grout for the tiles in the existing kitchen...

Not keen at all on that 'stadi-hotel' above...adhoc and drunken google sketchup behaviour if you ask me. 3/10 - open *your mind and come back with something more tantalising.

*whoever gets the rumoured gig*

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Probably already been mentioned.

Two trams were tested on the East Manchester(Etihad stop) line last night.

Hopefully it won't be long before the service is up and running.

Might pop down to the Etihad tram stop for the first proper service. Would be nice to get a picture.

WTF would you want a picture of a tram for ?

If you consider I take pictures of mud(Aniline site) on a regular basis, a few tram/station pictures is a step up. :-)

On a serious note. I'm sure fellow blues around the world who use BM to keep up with developments back home would appreciate some pictures of the new tramp stop being used for the first time.

It's another step in the right direction.

I like it as well, as it also reminds me of Maine Road.
All four sides are different and look like each one has been designed by a different architect

You never know, every chance of it being liveried up in sky blue for its first stadium visit ? Certainly a missed opportunity on match days if they don't look to have something City specific running the line.

What exactly IS this?

I've looked back through the thread, is it supposed to be a genuine mock up of the plans Sheikh Mansour has for the Etihad or the designs for a new stadium, or an example of a design for a stadium not connected with City? What is it?

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Is it just me , or is anybody else frustrated that there haven't been any announcements regarding Stadium expansion or developments regarding the collar site? I would have thought that winning the Premier League and the fact that we sold out our home games last season would have kick started something.

What has interested me slightly is the fact a new City Square of sorts is being mooted on here for the Public Plaza area of the new stadium across the road. Perhaps allowing the current one to move across freeing up room for extending the North Stand? But this must be at least 2/3 years away. Surely we don't have to wait that long?
