Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

These latest ones really show the scale of this place with the stadium so far back.

Sorry the quality isn't that good. I use the panoramic sweep on my camera phone.

Tiz true.

Until you 'drive' around the site, you don't realize how big it really is.

What exactly IS this?

I've looked back through the thread, is it supposed to be a genuine mock up of the plans Sheikh Mansour has for the Etihad or the designs for a new stadium, or an example of a design for a stadium not connected with City? What is it?

it is Al Jazira's (club owned by Mansour's family) Mohammed bin Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi. here you can see more details.

29th? or thereabouts

they take the seats out of the south stand so the concert fans on the pitch have a easier exit
shame they dont put railings up every 10 rows and keep it standing when season starts

Looking at the Etihad, it seems to me that it's outdated already. In the pecking order of stadiums (stadia) around the world I'd say there are 20-30 stadiums which piss on ours. And ours is quite new! I'm not saying ours is shit, far from it, but our owners must know when they see all the grandiose designs of various engineering projects in their own country that our stadium is shite in comparison.

Hopefully their vision for City INCLUDES the build of the world's best and most atmospheric football ground in the world. I think they should consult with fans' groups and incporporate their ideas into the build. After all, it's us, the fans, who the stadium is for.

What's for sure is the continued success of City is making the stadium conundrum a pretty big priority.

That's the north stand though or are you saying they also took them out of the south stand as well. ? They will have taken them out for the stage and probably will leave them out for Springstein.
