Can see Mario crashing one of them :-)

Fixed!

80,000 seats ought to be the target capacity, with design provision for safe standing taking it to 85,000. The 'empty seats' argument falls down flat if there are numerous occasions when it's at full capacity, who's got more to brag about...?

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Instead of designing our new kits, couldn't someone mock up an expanded Etihad to get the juices flowing? PLEASE!

Re: Etihad Campus & potential new stadium

Does anybody know when the bridge does get built, what are the chances that the roads will stay open to cars and not need to be closed after the match?

Doubt it as the crowd spills onto the road its not just about crossing

This is a complete punt but....

Could the roof be removed or does it act in some way to keep the whole structure of the stadium steady ?

If not then take the roof off one pre season and use one of the those plastic type roofs that rely on rising hot air as a temporary roof (they got one in the states) I am guessing that it would be easy to remove when necessary. Then at the end of the season start your work on which ever stand you want?

The Metrodome roof collapsed in Dec 2010 due to the weight of accumulated snow during a bad winter spell. It is Minnesota after all.
