Without stating the obvious, they didn't like the colour. For what exact reason I do not know. Silver on the other hand is always a fail safe. Personally I quite liked the blue but on the larger scale it may have looked a little 'fun'. A bit bouncy castle-ish.

the blue may have faded quite quickly - nothing worse than washed out plastic

The blue would look dirty very quickly with dirt particles in the rain and air. Grey tends to stay grey. That's what I reckon anyway.

Not necessarily - I would imagine that the size of plot would mean more than one tenant being involved. Multi-use and maybe even multi-phased build.
