Taken last Tuesday.

The College is to the right and next to the new training academy. The leisure centre is the main building/steel frame. Not sure what's going on the land next to the old Beswick Shopping Precinct, which is now closed down. Looks like a car park. Then again? Information on the Beswick Community Hub here. http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1563825

Just shows how far we've come in just less than a year...from building site to JRB's reality!!

This is from March last year...

Any news as to when the bridge will be put in place, I understand City are going to choose between jrb or a selection of the bluemoon boo boys to cut the ribbon, know for sure who I would pick.

The bridge is going up next week Dawlish. Got the info from the guys in the stadium expansion portocabin yesterday. The expansion of the South Stand is still starting for real in March.

I'm confused.

Thats an aerial image of a wide sweep of Manchester.

I can see loads of landmarks from Collyhurst to Clayton. I can see The Etihad but for some reason, it must be my old eyes playing tricks on me, I cant see old trafford?

Interesting (and absolutely true) fact. If the same nuclear weapon that hit Hiroshima were detonated at Old Trafford, people stood outside the Arndale wouldn't be harmed in anyway unless the wind blew fallout in that direction

To be fair.... and notwithstanding my feelings with regard to the Rag sh*t den, I truly hope that theory is never actually put to the test!

It is true, you're not reading what they say. Don't forget the Hiroshima bomb was a lower yield than Nagasaki, and that Old Trafford is 3.5 miles away from the Arndale.

Nearly everything was heavily damaged up to a radius of 3 miles from the blast, and beyond this distance damage, although comparatively light, extended for several more miles

The bomb at Hiroshima had damaged spread more by fire and fallout due to wind conditions rather than impact. It's why I specifically said about wind direction and specifically picked The Arndale as it was over the 3 mile distance and specifically said "people stood outside".
