Couldn't resist another look at the old world... my god City knew how to look after its fans back then ;-)

Didn't they sack the original design as it looked like a "Born Again Christian" fish sign when looked at from above??

Well done JRB .[/quote old

Thanks JRB I stay on the tram to the Velodrome stop to view progress but have to say your photo updates are one of the best features on Bluemoon. My Dad used to tell me how he sat and cried as he watched the main stand burn down at Hyde Rd and then later walking from Margret St Gorton to see the new ground take shape in Moss Side. Dad died in 1998 aged 91 when I watch City both on and off the pitch these days how proud I feel coming from a City family, living in Devon I get asked "coming from Manchester how come you don't support Man U " my reply is on the lines of "Its a family thing OK" thats the polite version.

I don't suppose that asking an Exeter fan why they don't support Plymouth has the same ring to it ;-)

Does anybody know what is going on at the old grey mare lane market site? There is a picture of the new complex on the side of the boards but i haven't had a chance to get out and look so i assume its something City are doing?

Have a look on page 37 after all the photos that have been taken and there`s a video from Disco Steve. That will show some parts of how it looked and also shows the completed site.Well worth a 5 minute view.

No probs Chaps. My pleasure. Hopefully the new camera will produce much better quality pictures.

If you can fault anything so far, it's the design of the bridge. Apart from that, nothing else.

This design would have been perfect for the bridge, but with blue lights to match the stadium.

This doomed proposal for a River Wear footbridge crossing in Sunderland could have looked good at the Etihad on a smaller scale. It has a certain Arabic swirl which the Sheikh might have approved of.
