is the new stadium going to be waterproof? looks very open to me
Depends what you mean by 'waterproof'. There is a roof over each stand but they'll certainly be open to driving rain. East stand will be fairly well protected as all the offices and media suite are at the back. The west stand will have some form of advertising/boarding up at the back and is also set forward with a walkway at the back at ground level. The north and south will certainly be the most open to the elements.

Once again, my pleasure.

Quite enjoy walking around the training academy site on a clear, crispy, and dry Winters day. Even though it was cloudy on Sunday.

Regarding the planning app.

Doesn't the consultation run until the end of this Month?(this week)

That leaves 3 weeks until Christmas. The planning Department normally has a 2 week break over Christmas and the New Year.

Taking that into account, the planning application should be submitted in the 2nd or 3rd week of December. I would assume the consultation views/documents, etc, will be looked at, etc, next week?

If the planning application isn't submitted before Christmas, it will be submitted in January. But the club did say late November or early December. Waiting until the New Year would just delay matters.

This is the link to the planning portal. Save it in your favs and keep on checking for the planning application. It normally takes a week or so before it's available online. Just depends on how quickly they upload it to the planning portal.

The next Exec meetings are as follows.

•Wednesday, 18 March 2015
•Wednesday, 18 February 2015
•Wednesday, 21 January 2015
•Wednesday, 24 December 2014

Looking very much like January or February. I very much doubt it, but it could be fast tracked to December's meeting.

Here's the link to the Executive meetings, agendas, and minutes.

Any decision will be here. Can't see a problem though.

Just to address dates it will be at a Planning Committee and those dates are;

•Thursday, 26 June 2014
•Thursday, 08 May 2014
•Thursday, 10 April 2014
•Thursday, 13 March 2014
•Thursday, 13 February 2014
•Thursday, 16 January 2014
•Thursday, 19 December 2013

Sorry JRB! Good work, just though I would address that! They release the agendas prior to meetings, generally it is 8-12 weeks from application to a committee date. With a decent pre-application meeting the committee should be straight forward and on the agenda we will see whether planning officers recommend for approval or object to it. Should be absolutely fine. Worth going along if it is early on the agenda!

Don't know if this question has been asked before but what will happen to Carrington when all this is complete? And does the club own the Carrington site?

I'd also like to know this. Also whats the plans regarding the mini-pitch next to the Sportcity building? Always thought that would have made more sense for the reserves to play on instead of playing all the way over in Hyde. Just curious as I've never seen it put to use.

The women play on the sportcity pitch for now.

The "reserves" or EDS did use the mini CoMS but Mancini thought it didn't given them a good grounding in football stadia so they made the agreement with Hyde that also saved them I would guess that City will have no use of mini CoMS with the new purpose built CFA stadium

Assume the mini CoMS is the Regional Athletics Stadium right next to CoMS?

Wasn't it suggested a while ago that it was planned that the Athletic stadium would be re-located up Ten Acre Lane way and the site would then be developed by City?

The club leases Carrington and it will simply be handed back to the landlord. The only existing facility which will be kept is Platt Lane as this is the last link to Maine Road. What they will do with it I am unsure but would imagine CITC will takeover and use to for community work
