Etihad Player of the Year

We all know Yaya was our best player but as a protest to his unprofessional behaviour I would give my vote to Zabba as even with the few downs he had this season he fought on like a warrior and is a perfect example of a true Pro..

Zabba Legend!

Just voted Silva

well its obious someone elese had a near perfect season (toure) but im sensitive :)

add to to that in the important games or gainst the strong oppositions Silva was always present (Bayern Barca Liverpool...)

Yaya for me, even if he didn't get a birthday card and is off, his goals won us the league and a cup.

Bloody hell, you know it's silly season when I'm agreeing with Dismal, but I agree. I said Silva before Cakegate and I'm sticking with him.

Yaya is the easy choice for the casual fan because of the goals, but for influence on games and consistency it has to be Merlin.

Yes, silly season, what with your track record of getting things right and all that.

Lol, coming from a man who wanted a manager out who won our first title in 44 years and who also said a 3rd division play off was a better moment than Aguero winning the league with the last kick of the season, you know all about getting it wrong, son! :-)

In danger of getting off topic, but you're not making a very compelling argument given that Pellegrini expertly healed the divisions in the squad, and won both the Premier League and Carling Cup in his first season in English football! As to the 3rd division play off final I know exactly where DD is coming from. The Dickov and Aguero moments were near identical in terms of dramatic impact, but because Dickov's goal was the first time we'd ever experienced such incredible redemption, it was transformed into the near celestial. What was it Billy Bragg said? "It's never the same after the first time, but it doesn't stop you coming back for more."

Yeh I probably didn't word it very well. Pellegrini has achieved what you said, and deserves credit for that. Where I'm saying Dismal got it wrong is he was calling for Mancini to go before we won the FA Cup. He then continued his silly campaign the season after when we went on to win the league. The results themselves proved how wrong he got it, but he'd never admit it. The reasons for that are open to individual interpretation.

The 3rd Division Play Off was an incredible moment, absolutely incredible. But to even try to compare it to the Aguero moment is just bonkers to me. Again, the only reason DD did that is because he had an agenda against the manager which was rather tasteless.
