EU referendum deal (title edited)

Brexit’s a joke, played on a 24/7 loop for the benefit of of fooling the UK public into staying in the EU.

Over in Germany, Der Spiegel published an article on 5 January 2016 with quotes from all of Europe’s big wigs saying that not only has “s deal” been put in place already to paint David Cameron in the best light, but that both Merkel and Junker have already completed their speeches and press releases (yes 7 weeks in advance of David Cameron’s 11.59pm Victory for Britain) and they are quite open about how all of Europe is working in harmony to fool the British public.

Safe in the knowledge that no UK based TV news room or mainline news paper will run the story and quash Cameron’s faux victory.

Unless we leave the European Economic Area as well there will still be open borders for EU citizens. Anyone want an example? Norway. Not in the EU, but in theory we could all go and live there tomorrow.

I haven't seen anyone suggesting we should leave the EEA yet. Perhaps they are scared of confusing us. But unless we leave the EEA as well, the stuff about controlling our borders is pie in the sky. So let's not kid ourselves that this is a simple matter.

Sorry Brian, the agreement Norway or Switzerland have with the EU does not set any precedent as to what the UK's agreement may look like. Unlike Norway, we are one of the EU's biggest export markets and as such will have plenty of leverage to make our own agreement. There are lots of other non eu members who have trade agreements with the EU that do not include open borders. In fact almost all the countries which have trade agreements with the EU do not have open borders.

It beggars belief that people are blind to Camerons lies. he makes Blair look honest.
Both cheeks of the same arse.

It's as if he's calls me Daves hero right down to who's the bigger war criminal.

The problem for me is that the Stay In brigade cannot tell me how we'd benefit. The deal Cameron has struck is not good enough for me.

For example, if a guy comes here and works why are we paying child allowance (at our rate or the home country rate doesn't matter)? Surely the country for which they passports and of which they're citizens should pay their own. Massive failure.

Anything we disagree with we need to court the support of 15 other nations to get whatever it is overturned. Good luck with that one.

The emergency brake..... is a joke. We going to get the Poles and Romanians to vote against their people? Don't think so.

So far by any standards he has failed miserably on what he promised in his party's manifesto and what he has so far isn't even assured.

We need to remain outside. I wouldn't worry about trade deals.... VW, Mercedes, BMW, EDF, nPower the list is as long as your arm would apply enough pressure to ensure we continue trading with Europe and on favourable terms.

Well I'm pretty sure, that people are underestimating the general feeling, that there is a groundswell of opinion to leave,

I'm 52 and want to leave the EU,control our borders, and stop the free movement of workers into the UK,

Because of the social and welfare system we are an attractive place, for the poorer people of Europe, all the taxes and insurances we and our parents and grandparents have put into the system is
being swallowed up by these EU immigrants,

I want a better place for my children and grandchildren, the EU cannot give me any comfort,I don't want a liberal human rights system that never protects victims,I want government from our own elected MPS, not always great but are answerable to us,

Bring the political gravy train to an end for all these euro MPS,

What vote do we get when they allow turkey,Albania, and other eastern European states in,well we will get no say watsoever end of,

VOTE LEAVE , and maybe we can go back in on our own terms well see????

As for jobs well be fine, our own government costs us more jobs in their absurd policy's, trams and trains made in Spain! !!!
^^^ BRILLIANT, IN A NUTSHELL ^^^

An excerpt from the article in the above link....

The victor in this game has already been determined. On Feb. 19 in Brussels, David Cameron will prevail with all of his most important demands. The British prime minister, to be sure, will be standing alone at the summit, faced with opposition from his 27 EU counterparts. But in the end, following tough negotiations, he will get his way.

Such is the result envisioned by EU leaders and in fact European Council President Donald Tusk, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have already written the script for their own defeat. "We want Cameron to return to London victorious," say EU officials in Brussels, in an uncommon display of unity. In Berlin, a Chancellery official says: "We will be extremely helpful." Anything that isn't a complete betrayal of European values is negotiable, the Berlin official says.

What strikes me here is why is it really going to be bad for us to leave IF the rest of Europe are so desperate for us to remain in?

Surely this screaming at us that we would be much stronger out- this article certainly gives that impression - I appreciate its only a speculative article, we cannot be certain that what it says is true, but why wouldn't it be?

My question here... "We want Cameron to return to London victorious," say EU officials in Brussels.... is why so desperate? Is it because of all our funding contributions?
