So if even you can see that most countries people would prefer to be out of the EU and to simply have free trade agreements, can't you see why the outers want that rather than a sovereign Europe?

Of course I can, I'd like that myself. Wouldn't everyone? The question is can we have that, without knackering our economy and putting a load of people out of work and those in work, out of pocket. The very unfortunate answer to that question is no. Unfortunately much though I would love to be out of Europe, without sticking pins in our own eyes, we are stuck with it.

No, it doesn't, but as myself and many others have stated, that hasn't stopped the EU trading with China, Canada, the US, Mexico, South Korea, the UAE, Russia, Japan, India, Brazil, South Africa, to name but a few. The UK may have to agree to continuing free movement of labour, but nobody really cares about that

LOL. I think you'll find they do.

Can you not see that the EU will destroy the economy, and push living standards down to those we had in this country a century ago at best?

"LOL" (are you 12?), I think you'll find they don't. I don't know of any outers personally who think we shouldn't trade at all with Europe or restricting citizens freedom of movement.

EDIT: You changed your post (wisely). At first you were suggesting that voters do not care about immigration, to which my reply was as follows:

You've completely undermined any credibility you might have had by taking up that position. Whether or not free movement of labour and uncontrollable immigration is good, bad or indiferent for this country is a matter for debate. You could argue it either way and I would understand your position, if not agree with it.

But when you say that the voters do not care about this issue - THE single biggest issue in the minds of a huge proportion of people - then you are just making yourself look foolish. OF COURSE people care about this, and they care greatly about the impact of immigration on jobs and local services. Rightly or wrongly it is THE single biggest issue why many working class outers want to leave.

That doesn't mean that they don't care about free movement of labour.

He completely changed his tune mate. He said "The UK may have to agree to continuing free movement of labour, but nobody really cares about that".

He's now doing a rapid backpedal.

Well that's rather defeatist and it also relies on believing a set of figures that are so far in the future as to be without point.

The answer is no one knows the immediate and medium to long term effects of leaving the EU. People will vote by what the want for the country going forward and the in campaign is only using scare tactics. Who knows what an Out vote may do for Europe. Several other countries may follow suit and a common market can once again be enacted with the bastardisation of a federal parliament.

So every outer has the same mindset do they? My 'credibility' is undermined because you personally disagree with it? Have you heard yourself?

You've completely misunderstood the context of the post. People aren't bothered about continuing a relationship with EUROPE. Is every post I put going to have to be dumbed down to you?
