Seems it Fabregas' turn to blame something other than their boring, strikerless team when they are unable to beat the opposition.
No one else seems to have said a word about the pitches, but to the Spanish their 'lamentable'.

Fabregas comes out with that kind of stuff all the time. He's always got an excuse. I think it is something he developed playing under Wenger.
Saying that, after 10mins of the game yesterday, I did say to the missus that it looks like the grass on the pitch was a tad long.

I said on Bluemoon that I think the outright winner will be Italy.
They have a fantastic team and you only have to look at how they played against Spain to prove that they can go all the way, even with 5 at the back they played great attacking football.
Spain play great football but other teams are now understanding how to beat them - they shoud of played Torres throughout the whole game yesterday because trying to pas your way through a strong Italian defense is no easy test, they needed a target man who could be crossed to etc..
Depending on the seeds I think it will be Italy and Germany in the final with Italy being crowned Champions.

They need a striker, Torres just knows how to play the role, where to be, where to make runs etc, Fabragas doesn't.
