I am more than happy that my Nations team has won, I am not that bothered about which clubs players play for, it does not matter really.

We have a very long way to go, but there are some young players come through, pleased with the result tonight
watching them celebrate the third goal was great, all young 'new' lads

Did Tymoschuck just do a wanker gesture in the tunnel towards Ribery? He was probably just joking if that's what it was.

Yes, Bayern teammates aren't they?

Ah yeah, that's right.

Wow game stopped because of lightning, first time I've ever seen that.

Welbeck might be a red but he's a good kid and a local boy, I have a good friend who plays for the rags so I'm not filled with unwarranted hate towards players like Welbeck, who comes across as similar to Aguero in terms of his generally likeable character. He scored for England, not United. It's all so childish.

Some people think slagging them in England shirts makes them even bigger blues. I'm a top blue me when Welbeck scored I just shouted fluke then sulked. I'm such a top blue myself.

I don't think it is as thought out as you make it sound. You can't help how you feel and when welbeck scored my heart sank. Just the way it is. Also every time they showed rooney clapping and smiling, it knocked me sick. It isn't a conscious effort, it's just instinctive.
If Welbeck did such a deed which saved a loved one, would your heart sink? No.
Not one of those lads represented their clubs tonight, they played for England.

Young lads that are not as good as other nations young lads.

but many of them wouldn't be playing for their country if it weren't for the team that carried them all season.

I'm with you

The bottom line is, it is (or at least I find that it is) very difficult to watch these players week in week out, hating them with a genuine passion and then suddenly try to turn that feeling off. In the case of rooney, I admit, I'm not even sure I would want to turn the hatred off even if I could. I can barely articulate how much I loathe him.

So for you personally then, it has always been like this? Or more prominently now that we're competing with the rags and there's a lot more vitriol involved? Say for example, when Beckham the united golden boy scored that free kick against Greece in the last min?

I'm as emotional as City fans come when we are playing, but I couldn't help celebrate a goal scored by a kid who iv played football with from south manchester scoring a winner for England. Cliched, but It's what dreams are made of really. He's also not a despicable twat like Young/Evra etc
