Think putting Garner at RB has been a success - steady competent presence there. Wonder if they got that idea from Pep.

He doesn't like him, he loves him.Pep won't be loaning him out, he likes him too much, he'll get more game time this year, Pep is doing exactly what he did with Phil.
Played very well today, both sides of the pitch too.
Nice to see Tommy get on as well, and he made a decent contribution in the short time he was on.
Still think he will be loaned out though.

Gonna get pelters here, but I thought the young rag Gomes had a good game. His positioning to cut out any breaks and his linking of the defence and attach was excellent.
No it isn't, this is why I said you don't know anything about Palmer.His specialty is, as far as I am aware, playing through the middle.
It might have come out to be patronizing (sorry), but in reality the wings is "literally" his specialty.
But let's go with the wide role, then? Would he displace Fode, or Grealish, or Mahrez (if the latter is still here, of course)? Not looking for an argument with you, by the way; honestly. I'm just curious as to how we'd give him enough game time to keep him happy. Barring injuries, he's unlikely to get into the PL or CL sides. That'd leave the domestic cups.
All credit to him for his performance this evening as well.

Last season he got 850 minutes, he just needs an improvement on that. I'd say if he gets 1500 or so minutes next season, that'd be a very good season for him.
Foden will likely play more centrally, especially with KdB injured.
There is no way I see Mahrez AND Bernie staying, so likely to lose another option of an attacker.
I don't see how he doesn't get minutes unless the club buys another winger, but I've been told over and over again we aren't interested in any wingers.
This gives me alot of hope for him, McAtee and Bobb to help mold the future of our attack.

If we go off reports, he likes McAtee even more and he got a year out on loan which has greatly benefitted him. No reason to think he wouldn't sanction the same thing for Palmer this year, especially if mcatee plays the palmer role of being the spare body.
Palmer isn't Foden, Foden was at the required level at 17 he just needed easing in, palmer isn't on the same level, he is a very talented player but he needs game time to improve.
