Europa League draw

Is it just me that really really wants to win this. Most of my best City away days have been in the UEFA cup.

We were never going to win the Champions League but have a real chance at this. Throw in the fact that it's unlikely we're going to be playing in the Europa League for a fair few years i really hope we play a strong side and get to Bucharest.

No it's not just you, I enjoy the Europa away days too. While I don't think we'll be playing a full strength side in these games I doubt it will be a "Carling Cup" team either. Personally if we have to sacrifice one trophy to cut down on fixtures I'd play a weakened team against the rags in the FA Cup and prioritise the Carling Cup SF instead.

beat the rags first then fuck the the fa cup off along with the other two.

the prem is everything.

Winning it would obviously be great, but this season is all about the League.

So you'd rather us play almost every midweek, see the team flying out to Russia and Ukraine rather than playing on four blank weekends in the most prestigious cup competition of them all?
We have to get the hang of winning multiple trophies and dealing with the fixtures at some point. I nominated the FA Cup to miss out on purely because we're further along in the other Cups and have a better chance of winning them. Mind you we also need to lose the idea that any match against the rags is more important than progress in other competitions so with a SF 3 days after the rags it's clear to me where the priority should lie.

Absolutely. We would expect to be in the later stages of 3 cup competitions as well as fighting it out at the top of the league every season (as we are this season). This is our future and we have to learn to cope with it sooner rather than later. When we're regulars in the last 8 of the CL then we can perhaps afford to be more laid back about the domestic cups but we have to be able to win trophies on multiple fronts because it shows desire and breeds a winning mentality.
