Re: Uefa cup pitfalls for the rest of the season?

Just play the youth in Europe. I want to see players like Savic, Razak and Suarez get games. Our unlucky draws for the domestic cups means they won't now.

Re: Uefa cup pitfalls for the rest of the season?

We could potentially reach the semis playing a makeshift side and by April we could have the League almost sewn up and the Carling Cup already in the bag.

Almost forgot the bye we have in the FA Cup third round...)

Re: Uefa cup pitfalls for the rest of the season?

Sounds a bit of an outlandish suggestion... but can't we just embrace every competition we're in a trust the manager to prioritise each competition as he sees fit in terms of squad selection.

Re: Uefa cup pitfalls for the rest of the season?

There are only 32 teams left now.

Get through the next round, and it would soon capture the imagination

Some very strong teams that are left there......would make it very interesting for the knock out stage........

I hope we don't make it because I want us to progress in the champions league.

If that doesn't happen I can't wait for the Europa league, great opportunity for the club.

Have to agree with Moomba here the more experience we get in Europe the better no matter the quality of the opposition.

We have the depth in quality and quantity to go along way if we are on the same page without compromising our efforts at home.

Players should be hungry to play in any game that comes their way.

If we are going to be successful we have to get used to playing in four competitions and hopefully going deep in as many as possible like our red neighbours have for sometime.

Would love a City v United Europa final if results don't go our way tonight (LOL).

Re: Uefa cup pitfalls for the rest of the season?

I would rather be in the europa than not in the europa.

Get to watch more city games which is what I love and gives the "fringe" and youth players an opportunity.

Lets be honest if we play on thursday it shouldnt effect our league chase because pretty much all of them wont play both

should we go n try to win it or just play youngsters ?

I prefer to try and win the domestic treble
