European elections results

Single issue election, seen as the proxy second ref yet the last few weeks has seen us told that it wasn't the case at all.

Only in the heads of us leavers we got told.

Tonight, the brexit party sweeps all before it, London and Scotland aside and all of a sudden, we now are supposed to count all the votes of everyone else together and see it as a message that the country wants to remain?

It just doesnt work like that im afraid it really doesnt.

Votes for Tories and Labour where a complete waste of time tonight if brexit was your single issue and it should have been.

Single issue election and yet the poll is under 50%.

Hmm.

Still Amazed that we have millions of gammons swayed by single politics. What benefits to their personal lives do they see with Brexit?

Ask them to name a law ‘imposed’ on Britain and they still couldn’t give you an answer

Pure mixed anti immigration and establishment anger that they can’t really explain rationally has led to this. Hey ho. Let them enjoy this moment.

It would seem that the Lib Dems are the new Scousers. They came an honourable second but some remainer politicians are bigging them up as if they have won. Slightly embarrassing I feel.
They were projected to get 15 seats, up from their previous best, of 1.

They got 15, so they did as expected.

Brexit Party were projected to get 23 and got 28! Yeah, they're talking bollocks mate.

3. The bigger surprise is the 2 for Labour.
Its not a surprise for a lot of us,not to vote labour is heartbreaking to many including my local labour councilor who couldn't bring himself to vote for the labour party which tells you just how the party seems not to represent the traditional vote under Corbyns leadership.

In terms of the Brexit outlook, leave and remain is still very close and though the Brexit Party have romped it, it really isn't as clear as that.

Brexit Party up against the Lib Dems and Greens is still about 50/50, slightly tilting towards the latter at the moment. Obviously not fair to put 1 party up against 2 but the remain side will argue that their vote was split across the 2. They were the only 3 main parties really clear on their positions. Not including SNP, PC, ChangeUK as they could be offset by Cons Brexiters.

A lot will depend on Labour and Conservatives next moves because a general election is coming before October 31st.

Labour will surely declare some form of 2nd referendum/people's vote/siding with remain or they are finished.

It really needed to be tonight in this election, that really is the point.

I don’t think it did.

Nobody is sorting Brexit soon and all tonight will mean is embarrassment in Europe on our behalf, by creeps who represent the BP.

Remain has seen a huge surge and I’m now more confident if there were a 2nd ref, remain would walk it.
