Someone was saying earlier that this is what the American owners want. Who do I listen too/believe ?

I'd listen to the statements clubs are making. Honestly this won't get off the ground.

I would imagine that, at some point, a system without relegation and with strict salary caps, just like American sports, will be instituted in the EPL. It certainly results in a sterile product, in a lot of ways, but it is fair.

A league without relegation and promotion is fair?

That will never happen in English football, ever. It would kill the game, everyone would walk away.

It will never happen in the English football pyramid. It would disgust every English football supporter, it's never happening. are you English?

If we qualify for next years CL there’s already 2 games extra to squeeze in for the league round and last season we played 13 games to win the Competition, next season is 15 games, (17 if teams have to go through the playoffs). The new proposal means potentially 19 games to win it. We’re struggling to get the Brentford rearranged game in (probably 20th/21st Feb now inbetween CL games).

How do teams fit another 4 games in especially with an expanded World Club Championship from 2025?

Even now we have the Euro’s next summer, the World Club Championship the year after, then the World Cup, no chance of a break for the players.

Julian Alvarez has played for virtually 2 years solid and his form has dropped off a cliff recently, the lad needs a break. FIFA, UEFA and potentially this new SL don’t give 2 shits about the quality of the product, they just want to take in the revenues, time the PL put their foot down and tell them none of our teams will play in Super Cups, World Club Championship’s or any other competitions that are there just to make money for others, the PL will not suffer as it’s a juggernaut that other European Countries are envious about. The players need a break, the quality suffers otherwise.

Nobody. Everyone is just saying what they think they have to say at the monent. Like politics, believe what people do, not what they say.

For 250 thousand pounds a week I'd give it a go.
