This was bound to happen, are we really surprised.
The fucking cartel tried to stop us and get us banned and they tried it with PSG
That failed so now they have probably discussed ways in which they can be protected forever regardless of a any club being taken over with FFP restrictions.
It is an absolute piss take.
So what is the cut off point for the rags/dippers making the CL under this format? Finish as low as 7th or 8th and still get in ?

Looking on the bright side:
They could be spending their time looking at how to win the league, or maybe how to make sure they finish into the CL places.
That they are now working on how to guarantee a CL place even if they are shit (and maybe "best history team finishing out of the first 3 places in the CL group stages gets a tie of their choice in the next round of the Europa league if that makes them happy too) is a bit sad. And I think it will cause even more people to realise what cn*t$ they are.
Cut off points will depend on who wins Carabao Cup and FA cup. Could go to 7th if we won both.....

The Champions "league" or Champions of Europe should only be played between the winners of each league....and the europa "league" should be between the winners of each leagues major domestic trophy (or runner up if its the league winner).
Thats it.
Great idea. I wonder why something like that's never been considered before ?

The shine of CL football left me some time ago amongst all the corruption and shenanigans directed at our Club alongside blatant favouritism for their own chosen few.
TBH, blind faith and support for City has kept me going to CL games throughout it all. Fans of my generation have waited so long for these times that it's difficult to give it all up. On the other hand, if this latest proposal is introduced it'll be the end for me. That would be the final straw and I'll stick to domestic games only. There's only so much piss-taking I can put up with. They can take their corrupt competition and stick it right up their European arses.

I rarely watch our Champions League games anyway. It’s always the league for me. I can live without the Chumps League. So not arsed with whatever happens with it as it’s a joke.

I don’t know if it has been mentioned in the thread so far as I haven’t read every post but this is more than just a issue with the champions league.By creating a cartel for the big clubs who have an advantage anyhow it makes a mockery of the premier league as well.
Once any of these clubs finish outside the top 4 but get money from participating in Europe the year after then that devalues the league, any future league success they have is tainted by revenue they have not earnt. If we finish outside the top four and participate in the champions league it’s probably me done with football.

UEFA don’t rule the roost, it’s the old G14 that do.
If something like this is pushed through it just confirms what we all know, the whole system is a farce to ensure certain clubs make extra money, and how that has affected our own league system where they shared the extra money to keep themselves at/near the top.
