When Mrs Spires was about 8 months pregnant with our eldest I came home one night and for reasons that to this day I cannot fathom I decided to give her the (in my eyes affectionate) nickname "fat fat the water rat". It sort of went downhill from there.
Amazing she took offence at such a lovely term of endearment. Some women just don't know they're born, eh?

Are water rats fat then?

Ive never pit up with this either way being fair. Ive always treated every lady Im kicking about with the utmost respect. Women are harder, more mature, and more emotionally intelligent than men in my humble opinion.

When Im seeing a lady, they get that deserved respect.

When Im seeing a lady who gives me any hassle then that warrants discussion, because I am good at enjoying my time and that sometimes doesnt always involve them, but it never ever affects them or impacts.

If I get any shit I from someone who doesnt get doesnt grasp this basic level of respect for eachother as adults who know one another, then Im out of there quicker than greased weasel shit.

I think thats fair, and I would expect it the other way too.

This bollocks of dancing around 'the mrs wouldnt like it' or ' depends what she says' is childlike.

Says more about the men that say it than the ladies who are subject of the supposed fears.

The love of a good woman is a wonderful thing. The dread of upsetting someone you dont like is not worth the hassle of it.

I think they're pretty good hunters rather than scavengers and depending on where you are in the world they have a penchant for prey like lobster so I suspect they are probably are!

I picked up the term in the US, might be a nursery rhyme or something?
