Everton are still some way off where we were in 2011

maybe a season behind what we was but like i said its a cup game and you have to turn up and win it everton will not rolling over

I think Steffen is a good keeper, but Ederson is simply better and as we have a real chance of winning the lot this year, he should start. There should not be any niceties now. The best XI should start every game, simple as that. It would be no good going out of the competition because we felt sorry that Steffen hadn't had a go in net or that Mendy or Garcia should play because they've not played for a while. Ederson won't get tired legs like, say, Rodri might do as he just doesn't move much. I don't honestly see any reason why Steffen should start any game for us if Ederson is fit.

Everton are a decent team, but they are miles behind us. Ancelotti is no mug and they will give us a decent game but they are not going to see a lot of the ball. I think we will beat them 2-0 myself although there may be a few scares as they do have some decent players.

If we play well, we will win this game.

I get what you are saying but if Zack does not get to play any games then he will want to move and we will have to find a replacement who can play Pep's style.
In an ideal world Ederson would never get injured or lose form but there is that possibility so we need an able deputy who is happy with his lot.

We lose, we're out, no second chances so with the exception of Steffen who we accept will play all Cup games Pep has to go full strength. Laporte, zinchenko come in from gladbach lineup with dias cancelo dropping out, dinho for Rodri then jesus back in take your pick who drops out. Keep the quadruple dream alive going into the international break

That won't have any bearing on the Everton game. Players won't be joining up with their countries until possibly monday.

The South Americans for sure ... so Ferna, Ederson, Jesus, Aguero ... Not sure if Pep will follow through on his threat earlier where he said whoever will need to isolate on return will not be going ... let's see next week what happens.
