The Bottler reffing, and Dean 4th official with Marriner on VAR.

That's a full house of bent cunts there.

Hopefully Dean is conflicted with his hatred of Everton working for us.

Blind Pew in VAR is like asking Stevie Wonder to be your Uber driver.

Sian Massey there means Sergio isn't starting.

I've had a bad feeling about this game since the draw. No idea why, but I just think this game could be a banana skin waiting to be stepped on.

No fannying around with the team - Go strong, go hard. Kill the game in the first 30 minutes and manage the next hour.

2-0 City (I hope!)
I know where your coming from.

Firstly it's Everton.

Second it's the match officials.

Third, it's on BT.

Got losing on penalties written all over. With their third choice keeper having a worldie.

Strongest team possible to overcome the Oliver factor as with the blind man on Var, his soft decisions against us which will probably include a penalty will not be overturned.

I usually pick the team I'd play rather than the reality which Pep might go for. Agree that Steffen will probably be in goal and was thinking about putting Ake in as Canc needs a rest but think this is going to be harder than people think. Heart wants Sergio to start but bring him on from the bench later on in the game....

what pep does is he pick's a team he thinks will be good enough to beat to everton maybe not his best 11 or formation but its works, pep is a master and knows that you don't need your best 11 all the time. even in a big cup game like everton away it will be a squad rotation and a couple of eyebrows raised from us

also in the past couple of weeks pep as been trying out different formations and aguero and jesus in a 4.3.3
and the false 9 with KDB and the 3 at the back with walker in a 3.4.3

so any 2nd guessing will like playing the lotto and getting your numbers up or the bonus ball

we are defo a banana skin waiting to happen ? the media and pundits want nothing else but city to get turned over
and they will rub the quadruple under our nose ? like we all have been shouting about it

the media have built this quadruple thing up not the club or players or manager, but you can bet if we lose it will be cannon fodder and all the clubs making, the told you so pundits waiting to have their say will be to much to take over the next 2 weeks without club football

That's why being on BT makes me think it could happen.

Jug ears was wanking over us but that constant line about city should be winning everything was being pushed.

As you say two weeks of gloating before we play again would be manna from heaven for them.

I truly didn't expect us to lose to Arsenal last season. I was astonished at how poor we were. And how relatively good they were. Anything can happen. If we want this trophy — and for me the F.A. Cup still has great prestige — we're going to have to take this tie very seriously.

100% this. Talk about not turning up? I was still fuming about how we got done over a couple of years earlier, glad there was no crowd there last season!

I’m sure Pep and the players will remember it and put on a big performance on Saturday.

funny how they are running with this and pushing this quadruple thing ? its a dirty trick adding pressure and BT sports are rags scum ? i don't try and watch any build up or after match crap if i can ? but watch from about 5 minutes before kick off and that's bad enough for me

look good luck to everton if they beat us fair and square, that's all i ask from the game from city
give it 100% and nobody can question the result unless the officials get involved

When you say build up I assume you mean the media which with respect is pure sound bites as they are not Pep and not the 11 on the pitch.

if anybody thinks the players and our management give the media any oxygen when the match day comes along they are sadly mistaken.

I don't get where all this "the media want us to fail" stuff comes from. The media want stories, if we go out of a competition, it's one story about how the quad dream is over just like every other side in history, and then they have to find something else to write/talk about. The longer it stays possible, the longer they get to create throwaway content about the possibility of it happening, they would love for us to succeed, it would give them an entire summers worth of content.

And even if it was true, so what, it has no impact on the result, the media could spend the entire hour pre-match build up saying I hope city lose over and over, it has zero impact on the game. the only pressure it builds is in your own head, social media and amongst your circle of friends, the players don't spend their warm up listening to camel gob and nobody could put more pressure on the side to win than Pep and his demands.

Summaries the influence of the media on game time to a tee.

Media write and speak , players play.

if we outscore Everton we win , if they outscore us we lose.

We give the pundits and those who ask questions too much attention.

the only thing that I care for before the game is the injury status and from then hope we are good enough or fortunate enough to come up trumps.

I think Steffen, Laporte, Mr. Zinchenko, and Gabby will come into the starting 11. Maybe Fern as well. But I won't even guess at how we will line up because I haven't got a clue.

its not our fans they are aiming at its the bitters watching
the whole of the football community bar manchester city fans all want us to lose at the weekend

sadly all the controlling media outlets and tv companies are united and liverpool based. even the so called natural pundits want us to lose. the so called city pundits are told to play a part and don't be to over the top backing the blues

Tall poppy syndrome I suppose which is fine with me.

I don't disagree with your sentiment ancoats but again with respect I don't care what their aim is and I don't think bluemooners in fact all city supporters on mass should care either but each to their own.

if their is anything underhanded it ain't working to well at present (LOL).

Other than teams in red and Everton fans, the rest of the footballing community probably doesn't care much one way or the other. There may be a bit of 'rooting for the underdog' but that isn't unique to City and, as underdogs go, Everton aren't like Cheltenham, for instance, it's bit more evenly matched and hence they probably won't attract as much sympathy.

your right at present ?
but at the moment city are still in everything and the media and pundit can do fuck all about it other than talk the talk and its great having it that way

do i think city can win all 4 no ? but if you said to pep right now we will give you one trophy it would be champions league without doubt, even letting united win the league and FA cup and spurs league cup pep knows his onions
but if city win the champions league only from here the media will spin the whole thing around to pep as failed this season and city should have won 3 or 4 trophies not one

manchester city can never win in the media. its all one way ? you win its the money. you lose how can you spend all that money and lose. in the ten years of our great owners any other club with the winning trophies and titles in the ten season would be hailed the greatest of all time
