Other than teams in red and Everton fans, the rest of the footballing community probably doesn't care much one way or the other. There may be a bit of 'rooting for the underdog' but that isn't unique to City and, as underdogs go, Everton aren't like Cheltenham, for instance, it's bit more evenly matched and hence they probably won't attract as much sympathy.

do i think city can win all 4 no ? but if you said to pep right now we will give you one trophy it would be champions league without doubt, even letting united win the league and FA cup and spurs league cup pep knows his onions
but if city win the champions league only from here the media will spin the whole thing around to pep as failed this season and city should have won 3 or 4 trophies not one

manchester city can never win in the media. its all one way ? you win its the money. you lose how can you spend all that money and lose. in the ten years of our great owners any other club with the winning trophies and titles in the ten season would be hailed the greatest of all time

That's why being on BT makes me think it could happen.

Jug ears was wanking over us but that constant line about city should be winning everything was being pushed.

As you say two weeks of gloating before we play again would be manna from heaven for them.

Look its plain and simple really, pushing us out as meant to be winning everything, takes the focus off the massive player and management failings in Salford and dipper land. Using their own analysis the rags having spent so much money lately should be winning the Thursday Night Cup with ease.

its not our fans they are aiming at its the bitters watching
the whole of the football community bar manchester city fans all want us to lose at the weekend

sadly all the controlling media outlets and tv companies are united and liverpool based. even the so called natural pundits want us to lose. the so called city pundits are told to play a part and don't be to over the top backing the blues

I doubt Liverpool want you to lose.

Sky news will have no idea what to do as they dislike both City and Everton. Shame we never met in the final as that would have ruined it for the media. They will probably side more with Everton as they are terrified of City winning four trophies and showing up their red luvvies.

There's another thing though , we are being set up to fail

Say we get beat in the Cup Final with a last minute deflection but win three other cups, the headline will be 'Man City fail in their persuit of Quad' - not 'Magnificent Man City the best seaonal performance by any team ever'
Thus - Failure
If we do the Quad - the Headline will be 'Money talks'
