The offside player doesn't impact Guehi ability to play the ball. Marc was in total control of the ball.

The only person that impacted Guehi is Guehi, he knew he was offside, didn't need to touch the ball (flag up or not at that point), if he doesn't the lad can stroke it home, and he'll be offside.

Having had a few moments to revisit my posts after the game - I will say the through ball from Kovacic was a quality pass - I was perhaps a little unfair but even so, I still think he was at fault for their 3rd goal- stay on his feet and get between man and ball and the move was over - he just hasn't got the pace anymore and for that reason he must move on and we need to buy another top class centre now Bernie is off.

I stick with my opinion of Phil - the season end can't come soon enough for him. I hope he can reset and get back in track because at the moment he is not giving us enough.

For next year we must get a player in the middle that plays on the edge and wins 50/50's - that will allow our attacking players room to work with. Anderson has looked good recently but it will come down to how much we would have to pay. There must be others that fit that role for less but it is a key position.

Kova was a disaster for his 20 mins tonight, including being bullied for the 3rd. Don’t think Gonzalez was bad today. We should have done better first half - for example I counted 4 times Nunes got to the byline and couldn’t put a decent cross in.
But pleased with the comeback.
By the way, how be many different explanations have been given for non red cards on our players?

We've not been in it until a few weeks ago. Fair enough if we’ve been top all season but we've been given a free hit from mardarsenal as they can't close it out.

Think tonight also shows how vital Rodri is in general, but especially to this group of players

We just cant get the ball moving without him. Bernardo tries his best, but hes just not forward thinking, and has to spend his time directing Guehi and Khusanov

Nico G just simply not good enough, and Kovacic cameo just shows our lack of depth and quality in central areas

Dias and Gvardiol probably walk back in when fit, purely because of their experience in these types of games, add Rodri to that and you can see what were missing at the moment

Some of them need to toughen up and realise that they've stepped up numerous levels to be here; some really poor performances from some that have felt the pressure for the first time

You can't fathom how it's 2026 and we still don't have a Rodri replacement! Crazy.

Geuhi has picked us up since Jan, but tonight was a stinker.

I really wanted us to sign semenyo but he's probably the one player who has been really poor as the team has generally has picked up.

A RB, a CM and another wide option for me and we will be in and around the top again.
