Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Robbed by the officials

Lino kept his flag down despite him being offside it doesn’t allow him to become onside as he gained an advantage from his offside in the same phase of play
This was a subjective offside decision and Oliver should have gone to a review as it’s his decision alone to decide

No doubt that PGMOL will come up with some excuse and bullshit
PGMOL will quote what the offside law says.

One or two very bad tackles by the Everton players that should have been more than a yellow ? Also, Doku gets kicked all over the park and then gets the booos. The referee allowed them to leave more than a little bit on us. Keane should have been sent off because he was never getting to the ball and took Doku out of the game with a bad tackle. He was so late and the intent was there

Clear as day red card from a player intent of hurting an opponent !

Oliver cheated with the yellow !

Nobody should be surprised by that outcome, he's a 100% **** !

Should have had straight 2 reds and reds by accumulation of yellows for fouls on doku alone. Yes we weren't great but I'm not surprised heads went down when they were getting seven shades of shit kicked out of them
Pep needs to be screaming about that cruncher on Doku. Arteta would be going on about it for days and the Pisscan would be moaning for months if not years.

Remarkable that a side as young as ours is in the hunt to win a second trophy - the FA Cup and in all likelihood finish second in the Prem. Like I said, the difference between PSG and us is that they would have converted their first half chances and been 4/5 nil up. We need to rifle those chances towards goal - this side - Haaland apart - tends to hit spongey shots early on like a practice match. 75 per cent possession (most of it around the Everton box), 21 shots at an away game - the result shouldn’t even be close. Without doubt, Moyes drenched the wide areas and we kept falling over - mostly Semenyo.

Just hope Pep's here next season to guide this young side with one or two new faces to the next level.

As for the tackle' on Doku - red card all day long.

I'm not sure you can really blame them tonight .... all they have seen is a city side that have completely thrown the towel in at that point, and helped Everton score at least one of their goals, it must have really pissed them off , even i nearly chucked my computer straight through the window ... that comeback from the 83rd minute onwards took everybody in the ground by surprise.
We might have had a bad spell but to suggest we'd thrown the towel in is pathetic.

If it was us with Palace away at the end of the season you know we wouldn’t win there. Arsenal will still drop points. It doesn’t change too much. We need them to lose anyways as we wouldn’t have caught them of goal difference especially that they have Burnley at home. They have 2 away games and we have 1 away match left. Keep the faith. It’s not over. West Ham ain’t a walkover especially wi to how much they need to win too
Burnley will fucking shit 'em mate.

Kyle Walker 30 yard pile driver.

Not really sure what this has to do with what I put!

I do agree with everything you’re saying here, FYI, but them being thugs doesn’t necessarily take away from the fact that they still played well second half and deserved the point.

A red card would have obviously changed the game.

If Arsenal draw or lose at West Ham we will still be two or three points behind them, even if we beat Brentford, that's the damaging result of us dropping points tonight ..... we're already in May, games are fast disappearing now, and it's gonna take something special, or totally unexpected for us to win it now.
If Arsenal draw at West Ham and we win our game in hand it's back to GD again. If they lose it's in our hands. It's literally that simple.

Well you could try and stop being so fucking negative and miserable.

And quite honestly I couldn't give a shit, seeing as your input never varies and your input is predictable and boring.

Sorry if you can't accept your own character traits.
I can. I’m a negative football fan. I’m the first to admit. I’ve even poked fun at myself on here on numerous occasions about my reactionary and miserable posting.

In one compartment if my life I’m negative. I vent.

It’s not my entire character. It’s the few minutes of my day I vent on a football forum designed for venting.

For you to presume things about me away from here indicates that actually this forum is a much bigger part of your life than mine. Which is quite sad.

But not as sad as your abuse. Again, you seem a pathetic, obstinate keyboard warrior.

We just dropped points to a shit team.

All depends if Arse's opponents roll over like Fulham, or have a go.

One thing's for sure, none of their 3 opponents get those decisions or will be allowed to play hard against them.

The PL has become a joke with inconsistent refereeing and this mad last month schedule with 75% of teams on the beach for league games.

Luckily, Wham have it all to play for and Arse don't cope well with being in control.

Btw, those fans that walked out at 3 - 1, Fuck Off, and when you get there Fuck Off again!
You stayed to the end did you?

We scored 3 goals tonight. The weakness was in the defending.

Yep, yet we defended well enough in the first half ..... the team just didn't have the same mindset or determination to succeed after the break and especially after Guehi's clanger ... and they only appeared to find a bit of fight again seven minutes from full time.

No it isn't done and dusted, anything can happen yet but the point is we're rebuilding and nobody expected us to be this close at this stage. The only thing I don't understand is nobody really expected us to win anything but because we're now not likely to win the league we get half the so-called fans on this board slagging the team off.

Matey, if Arsenal lose it from here, I will give up posting on Bluemoon

City has had this 2nd-half syndrome all season, even when Arsenal have dropped points, you just knew City had this bad 2nd half in them. It's painful watching us cough up the points when we come out for the 2nd half

It was a calamity in context which they made the most of.

I still believe if it was disallowed then there would not be as much furore comared to it being given.

But to say he cost us the title is OTT.

They should have been down to 10 just after we scored, and WE SHOULD HAVE GONE FOR A SECOND ASAP.
Agree on almost all fronts!

Referee didn't, pretty sure he was "on the pitch".

Regardless Guehi knew he was offside (looking at him) yet decided to make a terrible touch, however you look at it, it was a terrible intervention from him.

It was a shocking error, especially as he knows Donnarumma isn't great with his feet and given what he did against Arsenal. He could have turned or booted it anywhere instead he did what he did. Look Everton were gaining momentum but we'd weathered it a bit, gifting them that goal lifted the whole stadium and their players.
