Everton (a) pre-match thread

We've won 5 out of the last 6 games. What a crisis!

Everton are missing 2 players in Gueye and Bolasie, which is huge for them. I still see them scoring possibly Lukaku or Deulofeu but we will score 3 I believe with KDB, Kun x2 scoring.

1-3 city
 
Just hope Stones stands up to the horrendous scouse abuse better than Sterling did , maybe the bluedips will be too concerned about giving Stones grief and forget about actually getting behind their team .Can see this being a nastier atmosphere than usual , if we can avoid doing the usual and conceding in the 1st ten minutes this game could be over by half time , would love to see jesus come on at some point so the media can witness the second coming
 
Not sure if this is a good time or not to play EFC. Their season just ended. We could be on the end of a backlash. On the other hand, they could be a bit demoralised.

I'll take a point at Goodison. Not an easy place to get a result as they always step it up for the big games. We play for a win as ever, but if we end up with a point, that'll do me. Liverpool won there in the last minute. I don't think Chelsea been there yet.

If we score first it will be an excellent time to play them

Their fans are shockingly impatient at the best of times, (often to be heard audibly moaning about any backwards pass), so could easily turn on their own team if things start going our way

Spot on with the fickle comment. When ever I've been to the 'People's Club' I always think of the 70's when they used to throw their cushions from the main stand at the players!

Yes but why? we are facing a different team who will have differing strengths and weaknesses, so to assume the team who beat WH will do similar to Everton is not that straight forward. If it were simply finding a winning team and then sticking with it, what is Pep's role?
 
We battered them at home in everything but the scoreline. I seem to remember Koeman saying we were the best team he has ever coached against. I don't think we'll have too many problems against them unless Stecklenberg has the game of his life again.
