I see Neville’s bigging up Everton again. Been doing it since last week when he was predicting our downfall. Going on about how they’re fighting for their lives while ignoring our title ambitions.

Short time lurker, first time poster.

Just a gut feeling that we may see Palmer get a start. We saw with lewis that Pep isn't afraid of chucking an academy lad out there even if they haven't played.

Ederson

Lewis
Dias
Laporte
Gomez(Maybe Akanji?)

Phillips
Bernardo
Foden

Mahrez
Alvarez
Palmer
Yup. That's my guess too. Hopefully, it's Akanji in a 3 man CB system with Lewis playing the John Stones role next to Phillips. I also kept Grealish over Palmer. But I think it's more likely you are right. And more likely that my view of Palmer is why I kept Grealish on.

Dyche will absolutely have his players up for this and try to play on our worry of injury to key players. I expect some big challenges in the first 15 that we will need to ride out.

I can’t see us rotating as many as people think, Pep had one eye on this game in midweek when he didn’t make subs.

Ref today will be a big factor but he has booked the most players for time wasting by some margin which we all know is one of Everton’s tactics.

when pep rest players on the bench in midweek that sort of made his mind up to play most of the bench vs Everton

Quite should Everton will try to intimidate us with some robust challenges early doors , it will depend a lot on the referee and how how he handles the tackles that will fly-in , i have no worries in our players standing up to rough house tactics , but i am bothered about picking up injuries if the referee allows Everton to kick f*ck out of us.
If we get a strong ref who doesnt play to the crowd then our possession game will win the day , anyway Haaland is due a hat-trick :)
Alti Fan reffed us a Klanfield this season.

I remember Bernie saying he told both sides he wouldn't tolerate small fouls.

Changed his mind to disallow Erlings goal and allow theirs....

I'm expecting the same today.

Were punished for small fouls yet a blue Scouser rips one of ours in half and it's play on.

If you assume City will crush every opposition. Then punditry will be pointless and boring. It's normal to talk up the underdog.

I'd take a point now. It's the one game that not a cup final and think this is where he'll rest people.

I tried coming up with an expected team, got to 9 and not sure who else he'd play. Don't want to say Palmer and Perrone but don't see Rodri or Gundogan starting and I'm not sure I'd want to risk KdB and Bernardo.

Ortega
Lewis Akanji Laporte Gomez
Phillips
Mahrez Alvarez Foden

I think we'll know next season. Personally, I see no evidence one way or the other. Yes, he hasn't played much coz he is behind the best DM for a Pep team. But we'll see how he is next season. I'll accept he isn't trusted for the business end. Which is normal.
I don't think any of us see any evidence, as we don't get to see him train and he doesn't get any game time.

Logic just seems to suggest that he isn't even trusted to play 20-30 minutes when we are home and hosed.

I hope I'm wrong as I don't like to see anyone struggle here and then be let go, so let's hope it is 1st season syndrome.

Getting it in now

1 shot 1 goal ...them to score 1st ... perfectly good goal disallowed by VAR....Pickford to play as tho he's neuer in his prime

3-1 to us
