Everton (FA Cup) Post Match Thread

The replay is probably in my top 5 Maine Road experiences.
I was there that day, we got attacked by 2 lads in their 30’s ish, on the way back to the station, two 16 year old lads with City colours on, the cunts that did it were sorted about 50m down the Road by a few older Blues but it was a sobering moment in my early away match career :-) loved the replay at our place ... battered em 3-1

I thought Everton played very well indeed. They had a clear game plan and put it into effect as well as they could but that starting eleven of ours is full of quality and played with real belief and patience. And when you can wear a side down and tire them out for 80 minutes and then bring Levin de Bruyne on it must demoralize an opponent completely. Another victory for a relentless, exceptional team.

Spot on.

Love the way we just kept doing our thing regardless of Everton's tactics. Good to get some long ball and long throw practice in! Nice to see Jesus showing some attitude despite being fouled about a dozen times. We get far fewer free kicks than we should.

Great diving header from Silky Ilkay. Thought De Bruyne looked like he meant business when he was about to be brought on and wow did he deliver!

This one's for Argyle's dad!! :)

Solid win but once again refereeing ruined a lot of the enjoyment of the match. Always in the way, not enough cards and fouls for the Everton lot. Poor Gabby was being thrown around like a rag doll and Oliver didn’t bat an eyelid. Onto the semi final
I get what you’re saying but that was one of his better games for us. I was dreading it beforehand

Good performance, especially Dinho and Phil.

You don't have the season we're having with passengers, no matter how many seem keen to make out otherwise.

job done
everton so negative from the kick off
they would of done better having a go but no
contained us for a while, but we could of told them the eventual outcome

onwards blues...

It was bedlam before and after the game, Evertonians trying to take liberties. Fantastic atmosphere at both games

Everton made us work for that, but we deserved to win it and our extra quality told in the end. Dhino was magnificent tonight and was my MOTM and it will be a sad day when he leaves City.

We were far from our best tonight, but at this stage of the season results are more important. Great to see Kev scoring again and he looks back to his best.
Yes that little bit extra. We may to have dig deep to get the 4 wins and 2 draws minimum needed for the Title. That's what it's possibly going to take. But with the right starting line up it'll help to ease the way through. Kev came on tonight and confidence shot up enormously. Hes back in scoring mood as well. We didn't panic at 0-0 which is very mature and didn't seem too worried about them.
Leicester is now the next big one. We need all top players back safely.
