Was he not better in the 2nd half, especially on the left? He was not great 1st, no denying, but tbf most weren't.

What was an old, slow and ageing squad all of a sudden looks full of life.

Unsure where we'll end up this season but we've got the building blocks in place again for something special in the future.

He was a bit better when he shifted to the left and could cut in but he’s still not anywhere near good enough for this level. New contract was a mistake.
 
Brilliant game management and tactics by Pep. It allowed us to build momentum as the game went on, improved immensely in quality with the replacements too….top marks gaffer!


First half we played really well but were missing the killer touch to open the scoring. I did think we managed the mid field really well, and limited Everton to only the odd breakaway…

Second half looked to be more of the same but we increased the intensity with Phil being instrumental in moving the ball quicker….which ultimately led to the two goal cushion.

I don’t think we’re back but we have a few good quality options returning now…

Onwards blues ….top of the league !
 
Doku/Moosh Foden Cherki Haaland is a world class front 4. Cherki was on it, and having him likely gives Phil and the winger more to work with as Cherki definitely needs accounting for.

Walks away with an assist and the boo boys still get the daggers out.

Looked at the match thread at half time and I haven’t noticed some of the posters that were slagging us off on here after the game.
 
Great win and solid display look like we are back, besides Rodri the injuried players getting back feels good. Must say that Nico G impressed me today and that is not easy, Foden really good as was our fullbacks.

Was saying it all game mate, savinho is the most over rated player we have, he’s fuckin soft beyond belief, wouldn’t trust him to finish his dinner never mind a chance, turning down stupid money from spurs for him is a mental decision I hope doesn’t come back to bite us, cos I’m seriously underwhelmed by him so far
 
I’m actually buzzing off that game more then I would of if we destroyed them in the first half. It was a poor first half in my opinion then we come out for the second still looking half asleep… then suddenly we fight back and display proper quality up and down the pitch. Could of been 5-0 in the end. Its the FIGHT I want to see and that’s what we gave today.

We do need more goal scorers in the team. We are relying on Erl to bang them in and he does. Phil and Doku have the quality but it wasn’t Doku’d best today. It feels like phil is creating rather then scoring this season but that’s not a criticism. We needed the creating side more today. But need others to step up too. Excited to have Cherki back next game
